Comox Valley Walk-On Oceanfront Cottage (B) At Udina Bay on Vancouver Island

It is our 3rd year in a row staying here and we just absolutely love it. Cute, cozy, relaxing and right on the water. We can't say enough good things about this place and the hosts. One of our ultimate favourite vacation get aways that we look forward to every year!

Our family stayed for 6 nights in Cottage B over Spring Break. It was a little confusing when we arrived as to which cottage was ours but we worked it out eventually, nice oak door - both cottages have oak doors (but no A or B)! The cottage is private & right on the beach with a wonderful view. I would say the view & proximity to the beach is the cottage's strength. It was lovely to return form a day's activities & be able to pop in the hot tub which was also nice and clean. The outside hot/cold shower is a nice touch & useful for the hot tub. There was not a folder for the cottage but we managed to work out the essentials. What let the cottage down for us was that it could have been cleaner, we did not use the fireplace but there were ashes, the kitchen faucet was also very fragile & hard to use, the frying pans were poor quality - one with a very wobbly handle (we've found not untypical in short stay rentals over the years) but the biggest problem was an ant infestation in the bathroom and kitchen. When we contacted the owner they responded to say the lady up the road would pop by but nothing happened. The odd ant is not a problem but this is an issue that needs to be resolved for the next guest. There were two ant traps so it was a known problem before our arrival.Overall, our stay was fun. The cottage is in a great location to explore the area. Just a few things in the cottage need tightening up.

Location and quiet were terrific. Cottage was cozy even without great weather. Hiking nearby at Seal Bay was also terrific.

The location was amazing, just what we needed to have a relaxing vacation. Cottage is well stocked and very clean. Would definitely recommend and if ever in the area again will rebook. Thank you!

Gorgeous location, and fabulous host. The cottage was very clean and ready to use with stocked firewood, fully functional kitchen, and a comfy master bed. We look forward to returning.

Loved our stay! Close to lots of wilderness walks and ocean wildlife. View was outstanding! Enjoyed the hot tub immensely. Pet friendly!

This was my second stay, and I enjoyed it even more than the first time because it was familiar. A friend came for a couple of nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful ambiance, the fireplace and hot tub. Every day here is unique. I didn't want to come home! I definitely will stay there again.

The cabin has a great location with quiet waterfront lawn, unless you think birds are noisy. We were greeted by a lovely bouquet of dahlias on the kitchen table & in the bathroom. The cabin is comfortably furnished and the wood stove does kick out quite a bit of heat. We enjoyed watching all of the aquatic happenings and listening to bird calls, plus sunsets & sunrises, one of which was one of our best ever. We would definitely return to stay here again.

This is a great place to leave the hustle and bustle and unwind.

Amazing views and wildlife.

There was a bit of a problem with check-in but the owners rectified it quickly. The view from the cabin was beautiful and linens and towels were nice. Kitchen was well stocked

My husband and I stayed at this fantastic property while we were making visits to my father-in-law at North Island Hospital. What an absolutely incredible reprieve this property was. It had everything we needed, and then some. Loved being able to sit in the hot tub and watch the eagles and herons while listening to the waves. Great location, close to trails and other beaches to explore. We're already talking about coming back under better circumstances to find even more enjoyment.

It was just fantastic as we just love the closeness to the ocean & beach plus the aroma of the sea air !! We lived the cottage as it has everything you need for a chillax little holiday away from the hustle and bustle ! Daryle

The cottage was so lovely! It was very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels for both the bathroom hot tub/beach, and the beds were nice and comfortable. Everything was very clean when we arrived, too! The hot tub was amazing, and well-maintained. It was so nice having laundry and detergent provided, too. There was a small mixup at check-in (the guests who had rented the other one ended up taking our cottage) as the cottages themselves are unmarked, but Dianne arrived relatively quickly to sort things out. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Every person who stays in this gem of a location will have a unique experience. I stayed seven nights in October, and a friend came for two. The neighbourhood was empty and very quiet. The cottage had most of the comforts I needed. The highlight for me was being in the hot tub late one night in the dark, and hearing a whale blowing out its blowhole. It was amazing! I definitely would love to stay again, and can't say enough good things about staying there. I had an easy booking experience and Rosalie was great to communicate with online. She made every effort to help. I didn't see the owners, which was fine because I came for solitude. Obviously everything worked well in my cottage. I applaud and thank them for creating these two cottages for people to come and make beautiful memories!! I'm grateful!!

Staying on this quiet private beach is a wonderful break from the big world.
