We stayed 11 nights at this cute cottage right on the sea at Trou Aux Biches. Everything was wonderful, great location , well equipped kitchen. Lying in bed looking at the spectacular sea was amazing. Great outdoor seating . Sun beds right at the ocean side. You have a supermarket and restaurants very close by. You can swim right in front of the house but it is a little rocky and you most definitely need sea shoes. However you can walk 100 metres and there is the sandy beach we did a combination of both. There is construction going on next door it didn’t really bother us . A lovely place on the west coast. Marie the housekeeper was very nice and Jennifer was right at the end of the phone. would definitely come back again.

Out stay in this villa was perfect. The house is beautiful, clean, fully equipped, well maintained and the locatiom in first row beach front is awesome. Supermarket, restaurants and street food places are within walking distance. We especially enjoyed the garden with the beautiful sea view.Jennifer was a great host, she was really accommodating with check in and check out times.During our stay the construction site was still operating, which Jennifer let us know beforehand. For us, it wasn't to loud or annoying. Overall, I would totally recommend this place and we would love to visit again!

The house was in a great location, extremely nice, very clean, and fully stocked with everything you could need. Jennifer was an excellent host and was available if we needed her. Marie (housekeeper) was incredible and her cooking was great. We caught some fish and she cooked them. I 100% recommend this place for a vacation and we will be back. Thanks Jennifer and Marie.

This is a wonderful property in a fabulous location, in fact the website pictures do not do it justice. We did have a hire car so could explore the entire island but felt we had chosen the right place to base ourselves. There are so many fabulous restaurants within walking distance that we were spoilt for choice. Marie-Lourdes, the housekeeper, looked after us very well and cooked us a fabulous meal one evening and was a fountain of knowledge about the island. Throughout the booking process, the owner, Jennifer was extremely helpful in arranging transport to and from the airport and we were extremely grateful for the flexibility on check in and departure.

This characterful house is simply perfect. Jennifer our host kept in touch throughout the booking process and came to meet us on check in to explain everything, thanks again for the welcome treats .The pics did not do it justice and we never got tired of the turquoise sea sitting at the end of the lovely garden for 2 weeks. Trois Aux Biches has everything for a home stay and the house is equipped with everything you need as well as the large PoPo supermarket less than 5 mins away with fresh pastries and french bread. We cant wait to come back soon to this house, we really didnt want to leave it. Thanks to Marie Lourde for the daily visits to say bonjour and give the place a quick spring clean each time, she is a lovely lady.

My husband and I spent 9 perfect days in this beautiful house. The sea starts almost at the bottom of the garden and the sunsets are to die for. A supermarket is close by and a small restaurant/grill bar is across the road. I can confirm all other 5-Star positive reviews. We'll definitely come back. Thank you Jennifer! Warmest greetings from Germany! Vivian D.

This wonderful, quaint, fully equipped house is lovingly maintained and cared for by Jennifer, the owner, and cleaned spotlessly by Marie Lourde every day. Jennifer kept in touch with us when there was cyclone weather to ensure that we were OK. We felt truly welcomed and loved our stay here. The sea is right at the bottom of the small garden and there is easy access to the most amazing beach of Trou Aux Biches. Off the beach we were easily able to swim to the coral beds and snorkel for hours. Do not be put off by the “private area” sign in front of “Le Plage” beach bar…..public use of this beach Club is allowed and we spent time there every day, enjoying cocktails and eating light snacks as well as watching the sunset from their beach beds. The waiters are friendly and welcoming. Within easy walking distance is a great supermarket, Chez PoPo and plenty of good restaurants like International Café, Souvenir, la Caprese and make sure you order Peking Duck at the Chinese Palace. Trou Aux Biches is a very expensive area to rent in but Jennifer’s house is affordable for most budgets and absolute value for money. We are so grateful that we found this Island Gem.

We were delighted with the accommodation, and with the overall experience. Jennifer arranged a taxi transfer for us from the airport and was there on our arrival to show us around and introduce us to Marie-Lourdes. She had thoughtfully given us a starter pack of fruit, cold beer and wine, milk and bread. Arriving mid-morning on a hot day, the cold beer was extremely welcome. The house is very clean and bright, and well maintained, with modern facilities, and very secure and alarmed. The aircon in the bedrooms was a godsend (late March/early April). The garden is kept immaculately clean, and extends right to the water. There is almost no noticeable road noise, as the house is set quite far forward, with a small house between it and the road. I rose at first light every day just to lie on a sunlounger, and take in the view alone with my thoughts before the others awoke. The sandy beach itself is an easy stroll about a hundred yards to the right. Marie-Lourdes sourced and prepared for us a couple of very tasty fish curries and side dishes for a very reasonable fee. Jennifer phoned a couple of times to check we were having a good time, and arranged the taxi transfer back to the airport. She is super-efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I suspect she struggled to understand how we managed to break an oven knob, but graciously let it go. I have stayed in Trou-aux-Biches several times dating back to the eighties, and this was by far the best accommodation and overall experience. We will definitely be back. For those not familiar with Mauritius, Trou-aux-Biches is on the drier, sunnier and least windy side of the island, with excellent snorkelling over the reef, and the beach has a lovely, relaxed vibe. Make sure you catch the samosa man at 12 noon sharp on the beach, and do ask for the chilli sauce on his very tasty vegetarian samosas. Popo’s supermarket is much expanded and modernised since I first patronised it in the eighties, and is only a couple of hundred yards away. The size of the excellent pizzas at the pizza restaurant next to Popos is stupendous. If you ask for the family sized, you will be amazed. Just behind the property – but not close enough to hear – is a relaxed South-African run bar and restaurant. So all, in all, perfectly placed. Thank you Jennifer.

We spent 3 weeks in this cosy, clean and well-maintained house ideally located on the north west coast of Mauritius with easy access to a beautiful white-sanded beach and within short driving distance to some of Mauritius most interesting sights like the Botanical Garden of Pamplemousses or the market of Port Luis. The house is very well equipped as stated in the listing description and Jennifer, our friendly host, was always reachable when we needed some help or information. We highly recommend this marvellous property, we had our most beautiful holidays there so far and very much hope to come back some day. Ciba and Markus from Vienna, Austria
