CHARMING RIVER COTTAGE NEAR GRAND OLE OPRY & DOWNTOWN

House is just like described! Very peaceful place to stay. The hosts are wonderful!

The kitchen was exceptionally furnished. The cookies upon our arrival were excellent. The house was charming, clean and very well maintained. The view of the river and wildlife was phenomenal I would definitely stay there again.

The house had everything to make it an enjoyable experience. It was close enough to everything that we wanted to do. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was clean and ready. We felt right at home from the moment we stepped in. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The home is very well stocked with things you didn’t even know you’d need. The view is incredible and the bird feeder was always busy. Downtown Nashville was just a short drive away, and there was plenty to do near the home as well. The host were easy to reach and even came and filled the bird feeder when it was out. Wonderful place. Would stay again.

It was in a good location. We did a lot of Uber rides. Beds were super comfortable. Table chairs and couch cushions need replaced, nit comfortable. I would be nice to have comfortable seating outside ans a umbrella on the large deck. We did enjoy our stay, all necessities were there. Host was very sweet.

Perfect location to explore Nashville. Loved the deck overlooking Cumberland River. Cottage was exactly as photos portrayed. Interior was clean and tidy. Owner had homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us upon arrival. Would definitely go back.

Perfect in every way. We absolutely LOVED our stay here. It was so hard to leave! Sherry and Richard are excellent hosts. So many wonderful thoughtful details. Morning coffee and bird watching on the deck was a favorite part of our trip to Nashville. Sleeping in the super comfy bed was another favorite part of our trip! And the location is awesome. Close to downtown, but there is also so much to do within a few miles of the cottage. Some of the BEST music we enjoyed was at the clubs just a few miles away. If we make it back to Nashville, we sure hope this very charming river cottage will be available for another stay!

This is the perfect place to relax after a busy day of enjoying Nashville. It’s close to the Opry, airport and to major roads to get places. The home is cozy with a wonderful deck overlooking the river. The hosts have thoughtfully furnished the home with just about anything you might need.

We had a wonderful time in Nashville, and being able to come back to this little haven at the end of each day was a real treat. The place is super comfy and had everything we needed with lots of space to spread out. I would love to return!

Richard and Sherry were wonderful to work with! Communication was excellent. The cottage is very charming and peaceful with a great view of the river and birds. The location is terrific! Near the Grand Ole Opry and easy access to the freeway to visit all Nashville areas. We had an awesome stay.

My Dad, sister and I met in Nashville for a mini family reunion and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. First of all, Sherry and Richard are wonderful, thoughtful hosts. We were fortunate to meet them and they could not have been nicer, and the touches that they added like having coffee and cookies available was extra special. The location is fantastic, in a beautiful and quiet setting but close to stores, restaurants and a 15-20 minute drive downtown. This is advertised as two bedrooms, but also has a separate room with twin bunk beds. The two bathrooms are within the other two rooms, so there is not a communal bathroom which could maybe be a small issue depending on who you are traveling with (you have to go into someone's room to use a bathroom, even in the middle of the night) but it didn't bother us at all. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone.

The lovely house was exactly as described. It was beautiful. A cozy cabin in the woods. The attention to detail was wonderful. The host and hostess were friendly and available. We enjoyed watching the bird feeder in the back yard and the river view was spectacular. I would highly recommend!!

Loved this Hobbit House so peaceful and quiet yet less than a mile from the convention center. Having rhe back deck was absolutely wonderful after a long confrence day. Drive to the confrence venu was easy but I alos could have walked the short distance. Host were extremely attentive and thoughtful as well. Cabin had everything I needed and felt almost magical. Highly recommend!

Lovely outdoor space. house was well stocked with everything we needed (plenty of towels). Hosts were really helpful (they left lots of info) and easy to connect with and just friendly and nice.. Loved the bird feeder and deck! Great place for 2 couples

The house was perfect! Very clean and we loved the patio overlooking the river! The location was nice too - about 15-20 minute Lyft and Uber rides to Broadway!

Very comfortable home with everything needed. Kitchen is well equipped. Extra linen available and clearly marked. The owners have a great system in place to make your stay relaxing. Home is very close, about a mile to the Gaylord, Grande Old Opry and multiple venues with live music and many restaurants. Downtown Nashville is about a 20-30 minute ride depending on traffic. Music City garage is a good place to park. Reasonable price clean and well lit.Highly recommend the Hobbit House.

A friend and I decided to book Richard and Sherry’s place while attending a conference at the nearby Opryland convention center. So pleased with our choice! Just a few minutes from the conference but felt like our own little retreat. Hosts were so kind and accommodating, and loved relaxing in the home with a real “cabin” feel after a day of meetings. Beautiful view of the river and loved the bird watching. Perfect spot, would absolutely stay again!

An amazing property for comfort and location, minutes away from the Opry, mall, and good food. House was perfect for a stay with family with the two bedrooms and bathrooms, feels like two separate suites if you need a little separation. Very much like home! Have stayed here in the past and would stay again.

The Hobbit House is a cozy, quaint cottage with a beautiful view of the Cumberland River. Richard and Sherry, the owners, are very welcoming and attentive to the needs of their guests. This is the perfect place to enjoy all the activities of Nashville and have a quiet place to sleep and relax after all taking in the sights of Nashville. Convenient location, easy access to the highway and all of the local attractions. Very impressed with this cabin. We will certainly return!!

This is a beautiful house with a nice view of the river and lots of character. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking and the internet worked great. We enjoyed our stay and will be recommending the house to our friends for when they visit Nashville. The hosts were excellent about communication, and were extremely conscientious about accommodating a special request from our party (using unscented detergent on sheets/towels).

Absolutely everything about this home was extra special. From the time we opened the front door, we immediately felt “at home”. The beds were very comfortable, there’s a big bathtub, well stocked kitchen….. everything you would want for a trip away! It’s also in a quiet neighbor hood! The drive to the airport , Opryland, and Downtown is reasonable and there’s lots of restaurants nearby. Definitely 5-star and although there were no problems, the owners live nearby.

This place exceeded our expectations in all the best ways. Lovelier than the photos, the deck overlooking the river was our favorite spot. Everything was spic and span and the interior decorations delightful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Peaceful, homey and comfortable!

My daughter and I stayed at the Hobbit House for four days in mid-October and enjoyed our stay immensely. Our hosts, Sherry and Richard, were very gracious and available if we had any questions. The cottage was in pristine condition. The kitchen was supplied with all the basics one would need as well as fresh linens, reading material and brochures for the local attractions. The cottage itself is in a beautiful setting with a welcoming deck overlooking the Cumberland River where we sat with our morning coffee while listening to the birds sing their songs. And again in the evening after a long day in Nashville. The cottage is located one mile from the Grand Ole Opry and all the attractions and venues that surround it. Grocery stores were close by if one needed to stock the refrigerator. Every day we set off to Nashville to explore all the sights and craziness it had to offer all the while knowing we were heading back to our peaceful hideaway to kick back and relax for the evening. It was the best of both worlds! We would highly recommend the Hobbit House. We hope to return again soon to explore more of beautiful Tennessee. Christa and Christa Ann from the Jersey Shore!

We enjoyed our stay, so nice to be able to sit or eat meals on the deck with a view of the river. Nice rustic, quiet, clean and well stocked cabin, fun to watch the birds and squirrels at the feeder, and owners were easy to work with and responsive.

Our conference was at the Gaylord and we so enjoyed slipping back to our quiet little Hobbit House.

This updated log cabin is spacious, superbly equipped, clean and has a family feel throughout. There is interesting art, lively bird activity at the back deck feeder, thoughtful & safe lighting and very helpful information throughout. Sitting in the family room, we saw a white groundhog who must live down the hill near the Cumberland River, which we loved watching from the deck, seeing tugs, tows and barges. This home is quiet and is very close to Opryland and its amazing hotel with three enormous public areas, including restaurants, fountains, trees, beautiful plants and a riverboat ride with gorgeous plants and waterfalls! Expressway access to downtown and midtown is easy. We are so grateful that this homestead was available for us to enjoy a cousins' week together. It couldn't have been any better.

Wonderful location along the river. Quiet neighborhood; beautiful! Birds and squirrels kept our attention every morning with coffee. Very close to the Opry, and only about 20 minutes to downtown. It was heavenly!

This place was perfect, and so much better than we’d expected. It’s much, much bigger than the pictures might lead you to believe. The view of the river from the deck is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The place had everything we needed. We’d love to stay there again next time we are in Nashville.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was centrally located to everything. The place is located a $22 Uber ride to everything. It was quiet and a nice getaway from all the music! We would stay here for sure on a return trip to Nashville. Owners were very pleasant to work with and enjoyed meeting one of them.
