First vacation in over 10 years. Cottage was so clean and comfortable with screened in porch that overlooks the lake! Well equipped for all of our needs. The lake is amazing...so peaceful and water is clear and great habitat for bass and other fish. Love the kayaks and canoe, and small rowboat was great for the two of us to go fishing. Due to us waiting til last minute to put new line on our reels, plus some very rainy weather, we finally were able to take the row boat out once just before we left and caught a bass and crappie (calico bass), but we also got lots of nibbles fishing from shore. Ben and I and our dog Tonka had the best time! Host was very nice and respectful of our privacy even though we would love to have them come over for coffee or a drink next time . Can't wait to go back again! It was hard to leave since sun came out today lol.

I am so grateful to have found this hidden gem for a quick weekend trip. It is most adorable, quant, and QUIET place. The cottage has everything you need, described exactly the way it is, just bring your fishing pole. Our dog loved swimming in the clear lake! My husband said it was one of the best fishing spots he has ever fished at. We will 100% be back!

The lake is beautiful and there were so many birds! The house is more of a camp than a cottage. Outdoor furniture needs a cleaning before it can be used; cobwebs in camp and on porch need to be removed; new pillows and mattress pads would be appreciated; broken lamps, lampshades and blinds should be replaced; stained fabric benches and sofas should be cleaned or replaced. Weird to have to bring your own sheets and towels, or wash them before a 10 am checkout. Overall not our favorite rental.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay, even though it was just for one night. Although the queen bed and pillows were not exceptionally comfortable, this is subjective and may vary from person to person. The cottage is clean, well-maintained and equipped with everything needed.

My husband and I were very late to arrive our first night and the owners of the property couldn’t have been more accommodating. We mostly contacted each other through the site but when I spoke to John on the phone the one time, he was so kind and understanding. The property was exactly what I was hoping for. A sweet cottage right on the lake. It was a cold weekend so we didn’t get to enjoy all of the amenities but we will most certainly return again when it’s warmer. It was peaceful and relaxing and the recharge we both needed from our busy lives. Thank you for your hospitality. The cottage is wonderful!!!

Jon and Rindy's lakefront cabin is clean and very comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and a place to unwind in a beautiful part of New England, look no further. We spent an unusually warm April afternoon sitting on the screened-in porch with our dogs, gazing out at the lake. It was heaven. Wildlife abounds, and we were treated to a large herd of deer in the field next door, many different songbirds and ducks, as well as a sub-adult Bald Eagle that flew over the lake right towards the cabin. While the Twin Lakes have a remote feel, all the amenities you need are close by, including a well-stocked grocery store (LaBonne's in Salisbury) and excellent restaurants (Willa in Millerton, NY was one of these best meals out we have ever enjoyed). Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay at this cabin was amazing! It was cozy and perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The property is beautiful and the area is perfect for walks. The heat wasn’t working on the first day and the host was very responsive and communicated frequently to ensure that we had a comfortable stay and the issue was resolved. I would highly recommend this booking to others and will definitely be back!

We did not receive the check in information until late afternoon on the day of check in. We had to drive to town to find cell phone service to call owner. Then we found out if we use their linens and towels we had to do the laundry before we left. Check out time was 10am so we rushed to get two loads of laundry in the small apartment size machines. Neither the start or the end of our stay was pleasant. The cottage was nice, the lake beautiful, pristine water. It was nice to be on the water in a peaceful setting. I think owners should state clearly, up front if they expect guests to do laundry or bring your own. We would have brought our own if we had been notified in advance.

We feel so blessed to have been able to stay at this property. The cottage was simply perfection. It was cozy, clean, had every amenity you could want by way of comfort, cookware, laundry, games and books, and the view was spectacular. We enjoyed the dock, kayaks and paddleboard daily. Rindy and Jon, thank you for your beautiful space and for allowing our dog to join us. We cannot thank you enough for sharing your cottage.

The cottage is cozy which is just what we wanted. An adult son did stay for a few days. The property around the cottage was wonderful, expansive. Plenty of sun and shade. The dock was a great place to sit and watch the sun come up or just to relax. I only used the kayak but all the boats seemed in great shape. It is challenging to get into the kayak as there is not a walk in water area like a beach but certainly from the dock. The screen porch kept bugs out and adds to the living space. PLENTY of wood and kindling, a very nice bonus and we had several fires. Our only disappointment was the fishing. Not much luck except for pumkinseeds from dock. Salisbury is a beautiful area and the cottage and property reflect that. We had a great time and would return!
