Stayed Sep 20, 2025The kitchen was Completely stock with everything one would need ( including batteries for a remote). I cannot think of anything that was not thought of. This was one of the best experiences with an opportunity to relax and rewind. I know we will be back ( I don't believe my wife has unpacked yet). What a nice place to stay. I have recommended and sent links to friends here in Oregon about this property. We are so glad we had this experience. Thank you!

Stayed Aug 4, 2025The cottage is very small and very close to a busy road. It was very clean and the kitchen area well-equipped.. The little patio area and pond view was nice but noisy due to its close proximity to Beaverton Road. The tiny living room had one sofa which is worn out and

Stayed Aug 18, 2025Property is located midway between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor, inland. It was clean and well stocked with supplies. Overall, the actual property was very small. It looked to be a rebuilt structure which originally had a different purpose. There were three separate levels, all with a 2 to 3 STEP climb or step down between the levels. This was disconcerting for an older couple who needed to get up to use the bathroom once or more per night. Thank God for the provision of night lights in every room! Wi-Fi was poor and cell reception, almost nonexistent. We would not choose to stay in this property again due to the inconvenience of communication and movement.

Stayed Sep 6, 2024The cottage was exactly what we were expecting, plus so much more. Conveniently located off the beaten path, but right in between Friday and Roche Harbor. We were able to relax by the fire pit after a day of adventure and shopping in Friday Harbor, followed by an amazing dinner in Roche Harbor. The cottage is located on one of the main roads, but the peaceful surroundings made it easy to forget that mild inconvenience. We look forward to returning when we can stay longer. Shannon & Tom

Stayed Aug 15, 2024This property met our needs very well. It is well represented in the listing. Karen's communication skills were outstanding. She emailed us a week before the ferry schedule was to be released. This enabled us to get our reservations easily. The check in was seamless. It is centrally located so we were able to get to Friday Harbor or Roche Harbor easily by car.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024The Cottage is comfy and cozy, just right for two old lovebirds. The setting is idyllic and mostly quiet! Well-situated for exploring San Juan Island. Dripping with flowers, tinybirds, hummingbirds, foxes and deer. We had a marvelous time and are hoping to return!

Stayed Aug 5, 2024The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the bed was comfortable, the small living room with an electric fireplace was cozy in the evenings. The grounds were beautiful. The back porch looks out over a pond, birds were everywhere, a deer and 2 black fox came through the yard to eat the plums from a tree. We could see horses across the pond. We highly recommend the Pond Side Cottage and will definitely stay there again.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024We had a nice stay. The backyard and view of the little pond was lovely. The only downside was traffic noise during the day, but the evening was quiet. I’d definitely stay there again.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024We did not stay very long in the cottage each day because we were here for a family reunion. It was a convenient location. It was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. We ate breakfast in the cottage and were glad for the good size refrigerator and ice. The kitchen is well stocked. It was a great place to stay.

Stayed Jun 9, 2024Cabin has all the necessities, but no refinements. Bed was comfortable and host provides great coffee. The location is perfect with access to the parks and town. It is quit at night, however one hears the main road traffic outside the property during the day.

Stayed May 17, 2024I think the Dutch door was my first hint that this was going to be a sweet place…and it is! It’s smallish, but it’s got most everything you’ll need, with lots of personal touches to make you feel comfortably at home—coffee and tea, a well-stocked spice cupboard, an electric fireplace that makes it cozy quickly, games and puzzles, plushy blankets for cool evenings outside, etc., etc.! And speaking of outside, it might not be on the big water, but there’s a lovely pond (a with a rowboat!), a covered deck, green grass galore (with horses!), bird feeders that are busy all day long, a lovely outdoor fire ring, etc.! It’s reasonably priced and the VRBO experience was hassle-free (especially Karen, who was a pleasure to deal with!). I would certainly stay here again, and have already recommended it to friends.
