Truly a stone's throw from the shore of Lake Superior, this character-filled cabin was originally hand-built in 1945 by Hjelmer, a Norwegian immigrant. The owner was warm and friendly, sending recommendations prior to the trip and also a text about the northern lights while we were there. The property was beautiful and spotless.
