Character house with private heated swimming pool not overlooked and jacuzzi

Superb property with great amenities. Location is great as we were able to do day-trips to a few places. Sergio was great as a host and made check in and check out a very pleasant experience. It was also great to be able to bring the pets with us. Overall, we were really pleased with our stay and would like to come back.

Large house,comfortably accommodated five adults and a dog. The pool and hit tub were particularly appreciated.

This property is just stunning! Remote, but close to shops. Easy trips to Brussels, Bruges, dunkirk and many places in France as near the border. We drove from UK, so easy via LeShuttle! Very comfy, Huge place too with plenty of space for multiple families, loads of toys, lovely pool and jacuzzi, so very quiet too - just wonderful! Sergio, the host, was lovely! He was very helpful and really happy to suggest things to do and any small issues sorted immediately. We took our dog, garden was safe and secure, electronic gates for security but the village was very tranquil.... the dog loved it lol ? I wouldn't hesitate to rebook - excellent - thank you Sergio!

The property is very spacious and very much the traditional french/belgian country style. Rooms were big, great for a large family like ours. The private pool and hot tub were the star attractions, gorgeous and very clean and inviting. Sergio was easy to deal with and the process was very straightforward. We would definitely stay here again for a nice break, our week summer holiday here was wonderful.

We had a good time in that spacious country- house. The pool and the whirlpool were great, we used them every single day. The house has a special charm. There is everything you need, washing- machine, dryer, iron and a fully equipped kitchen. Sergio and his wife were very helpful in every situation and always available for a question. Nearby you find every shop you need, but you need a car! It was no problem having a dog there!

Pool, jacuzzi, garden and parking were all excellent. Interior of accommodation was in places a bit cluttered, and perhaps needed some updating. Very spacious, but we found upstairs really hot, although downstairs bedroom was okay. Because of the mosquitoes, we couldn’t open windows upstairs at night, which made the heat worse. We also felt that it would have been better with more walk in shower facilities. Other than that we loved the accommodation The host was really helpful and friendly, and a small problem we had was dealt with immediately However, we felt that the information given by Vrbo was inaccurate re arrival and departure times, and also they did not mention the requirement for a 400 euro deposit in cash on arrival. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our family celebration at this accommodation

Great place to stay! We were here with 10 friends for New Year 2018/19. House was very clean and the interior was great. Had an awesome time. Mr. Cavalera (the owner) was very courteous and came regularly to maintain the pool. And a tip for Peruwelz, try restaurant Tonton Toque, it also grat! Thinking about coming back in summer!

Spent a long weekend here in August. Everything was in good order, pool was clean and not overlooked, hot-tub was great. Only a 2 minute drive to local supermarkets and not far from Tournai or Vallenciennes if you need bigger towns. Only 90 minutes from Calais and within easy striking distance of Ypres, Ghent, Bruges or Brussels if required. Property was clean and spacious, but it is a gite, not a 5-star hotel. Multiple bathrooms and showers, so nobody had to queue in the morning. Just one tip for travellers, towels are not included, the Home and Away site does not make this clear. No big deal for the self-catering traveller, but bring plenty, you will use the pool and hot tub a lot !!!! Enjoy. Thank you Sergio for a lovely weekend.
