Very clean, great hosts, and amazing location

The location cannot be beat. Tucked just off Main Street so we walked everywhere around Bar Harbor and never had to worry about parking in town. Despite being steps away from a restaurant, we did not think it was too noisy, especially from 9p-8a. The house is literally what cottage core dreams are made of. It’s so cute. The house and all linens were very clean. We loved sitting on the porch and the backyard was very cute. We found the queen sized bed to be very comfortable and slept well during our trip. The bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs and the staircase is quite steep so might be harder for less mobile people to access easily. Overall, we were very happy with our choice and would definitely choose to stay here again! Very close access to Acadia and park loop road. We even walked to the jesup trail from the cottage one day.

Location! and Parking! Derby Cottage A was perfect. Close to everything. A two block walk to the Island Explorer shuttle to the national park. A 1/2 block walk to the Bar Harbor shops and restaurants. The accommodation was clean, roomy and well equipped. Hosts promptly responded to a need.

Old as expected. Adequately furnished but not what was in listing pictures. No dishwasher which listing said there was. Paying for downtown location. Very noisy 6:00 with next door restaurant and inn delivery and trash not appreciated as we are not early risers.

Loved this home! The best place I’ve stayed down town!

This place was in a perfect spot. Got to listen to live music every afternoon when we were home on the porch.

We had the best time staying here. The location couldn’t be better. We had music playing right around the corner everyday. It was easy to walk to any location in the village. The best part was the convenience for the dogs. There was a great little fenced in back yard that my dogs loved. The only issue is the bathroom is on the second floor. The only problem with that is the stairs are steep. Could be difficult for an older person. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat!

Chose this property for its location, which allowed our two tween/teen kids to have some independence in town, and it was perfect. Loved being able to bring our dog too, and the fenced backyard was a favorite hangout spot for all of us. The beds were very comfortable, which isn’t always the case in a rental.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway!
