Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had the pleasure to spend our holiday at Casale Eredita - a beautiful and clean house, with all the luxury and equipment you need on a holiday. Our two daughters loved the pool, the cats, the wifi (of course!) and we could take them to nice places in the neigherhood. To get to Rome by train was a 'piece of cake' (we went twice). Giacintha is a warm host, loves to tell you about Italy and brought us delicious marmelade, tiramisu and pasta sauce. And last but not least; we are very greatfull Giacintha and her husband build a ramp for our youngest daughter so she could easily get in en out the house in her wheelchair by her self. Thank you! We had a great time in Italy! Willem, Astrid, Robin and Vicky The Netherlands

Stayed Dec 31, 1969• We were unusual renters since we spent 5 months at Casale Eredita, from November 2013 through March 2014. We are two retired sisters who now rent for 5 months every year in a different area of Europe, immersing ourselves in a select region, becoming a part of the community and getting to know the surrounding areas. It is almost hard to say how much we loved this wonderful home and the village of Orte and on March 31st, it was very difficult to leave. The converted barn was perfect - modern, comfortable, completely outfitted for ease of living, and wonderfully situated in the countryside and farmlands of the Tiber Valley. But most of all, Giacinta and Gianpiero and their two daughters are the absolute perfect hosts. They are warm and friendly owners – very accommodating but never intrusive and Giacinta is always available to answer questions about the area. This was our fourth year renting in Europe, and this is the first rental we’ve had with each of us having an equally huge, comfortable bedroom with our very own en suite bathroom. Being here during the off-season months, we did not avail ourselves of the large swimming pool, but the gardens, even in winter are big and very beautiful. Orte is in itself and ideal location being only minutes from the major North-South highway so we could easily visit Siena, Assisi, Todi and Orvieto, just to mention a few. And the Orte station allowed us to easily train into Rome and Florence. There just couldn’t be a better, more central location.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is one of those places you want to tell the world about. But at the same time keep to yourself. We stayed at Casale Eredita for four fantastic weeks! The house is perfect. There is everything you could possible need. And if something is missing the wonderful Giacinta fix it right away. Every room is decorated with a lot of tought, love and good taste. We stayed in the yellow room. The view from the bed was like a picture in a fancy magazine. Olive trees, pink roses and the turqoise water from the pool. We have a 9 month old son and for him Giacinta made a adorable baby bed. Outside is a big private garden. Full with diffrent plants and roses, well taken care off. Very nice! During the day, when the sun moves there are diffrent places to find shadow. This was very good for us and our baby. The location is on the countryside. All you can hear is the wind and diffrent birds. If you enjoy going for a walk or run it's perfect. You can go in any direction and you will have a private time. Just you and the beutiful nature with the oaks like a roof giving you shadow. Sometimes you just have to stop to look at the hills, the fields and the diffrent villages you can see in distance. Orte is a beutiful little village. Quite few tourists. You have the local market, fish store (fresh fish tuesday and friday), bread (won the price for best bread in italy), meat and vegetables. When you shop at these places you can make your own spagetti vongole or vitello with some lemon. Perfect! Your host, Giacinta, is simply the best! She is a varm and caring person. Who knows when to stop and chat or just say ciao and walk by. She helped us out when our boy got sick and had accident so we had to go to the dentist. To us she became very special. She showed us the real Italy and took us to places we nerver would have found. Like the best buffel mozzarella, oil and wine fattoria. You would think that staying that long in the same place you would have something to complain about. But we don't (and we have traveled a lot and we're picky). It's simply a fantastic place and so are the surroundings. You would make a mistake not coming here!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed here for our honeymoon after a very busy wedding week at another location and found this place absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious and yet very cosy and atmospheric. The whole place was spotlessly clean, has all necessary facilities for peaceful and comfortable stay. Our wonderful hostess Giancinta managed the impossible - to be entirely attentive and at the same time unobtrusive. She is very bubbly and clearly enjoys meeting people and making them happy and comfortable - and makes the best tiramisu i have ever had .... and i have had a few, as it is my favourite desert! The villa, whilst giving entirely the feeling of tranquility and country living, is very near to the A1 motorway, so many places are very accessible. we particularly liked Orvieto, Spoleto, and Bolsena lake. many thanks Giacinata for your warm and cheerful hospitality, we will aim to return. Stayed Dec 31, 1969After June 2008, we spend our second vacation in June-July 2012 here, each time two weeks and we recommend this location very warmly. Casale Eredita is a beautiful house, with a big pool and huge cultivated garden. All rooms are nice, very clean and completely equipped. Perfect for quiet vacation near Roma (45 min with a train). The Owner family is very hospitable, stay in background, but help every time in any question. It is a really insider tip location. We will come again, promised! Stayed Dec 31, 1969Casale Eredita is a fabulous place and Glacinta is the perfect host. The villa is perfect for families with 3 good size bedrooms with a private bathroom for each. Our bedroom also came with french doors that opened up onto the patio by the pool. Large pool and lots of area to run around in the gardens for the kids. Glacinta has done a great job with the gardens that surround the villa. You are only a few minutes outside the town of Orte which is a great hilltop town to explore. Plus another medieval hilltop village is just above them on the hilltop which is a couple minute drive up the hillside. Orte is a great location to explore the Umbria area as your just off the main toll highway and the railway runs through the town. We did day trips like the hot springs in Viterbo, Marmore Waterfalls in Terni, Assisi, the Baci chocolate factory in Perugia and much more. We took the train into Rome on account it was so cheap and easy. Glacainta also arrived on Friday morning with a birthday cake for Ed. She saw his date of birth on the passport and did it as a surprise. Wonderful place to stay. Ed, Heather and family
