Stayed Aug 9, 2025Our holiday in Casa do Batocal was truly excellent. Paula is the best host you could hope for and the welcome she gives is outstanding. The outside area is lovely and we spent most of our time there enjoying the pool, playing table tennis and cooking meals.Even without air conditioning, the inside of the house remained relatively cool throughout the day and was a pleasant temperature at night.

Stayed Jul 1, 2024We (2 adults 1 kid 10 years) had the pleasure of spending 7 weeks in the lovely Casa do Batocal. On arrival we were greeted by the host Paula. Paula is a very attentive and caring host. All questions during our stay were answered promptly and Paula made sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Casa do Batocal is a small authentic villa located on the edge of the village Fataunços, a quiet and peaceful place. The villa is an authentic country style house which is respectfully and gently restored. The villa is surrounded by a large and well-groomed garden, and you have a nice pool to enjoy privately. We spent most of our time by the pool or by the outdoor kitchen / terrasse where we cooked and enjoyed most of our meals. Casa do Batocal is a place to relax and enjoy time with your family. Our warmest thanks and recommendations to Caso do Batocal and Paula.

Stayed Jul 28, 2023From when we first arrived, Paula welcomed us into her home. The house is stunning; lots of period charm with traditional features. However, the best feature of this property is the outside living space. Pictures really do not do it justice. We spent most of our time in this area, cooking, eating and spending time together as a family. The pool area was lovely and very welcome in the Portugal sun. Paula's contact was prompt and when the boiler cut out, she responded straight away and it was fixed within a few hours. We dont make a habit of returning to the same place twice but we wouldn't hesitate returning to this gorgeous house. Thank you Paula for sharing your home with us, it was just perfect.
