A lovely place to stay, we had a long break there, it’s very quiet, but close enough to the river beaches, beaches, Tomar and other attractions for lovely days out. The hosts are outstanding, I’ve never met such amazing hosts. They bought us bags of the most fabulous and delicious tomatoes and the fluffiest cake ever. Thank you for a beautiful break we will always remember.

Amazing and beautifully renovated house that still retained a traditional feel but with all modern comforts. It ranks as one of our favourite houses. The house is very clean and the hosts were so hospitable. It was an absolutely enjoyable stay.

The two storey cottage was lovely, completely renovated whilst still retaining its traditional character. Metal spiral staircase quite thin, so we left our heavy bags downstairs. Lovely simple original back yard with orange tree and flowers, plus garden setting. Downstairs a little dark, but this is the nature of a traditional stone cottage. Village very quiet, no restaurants or shops, however nearest are about 10mins away by car,so not a problem. We had a lovely relaxing stay.

This stone house, rehabilitated from a century-old barn and home, is incredible. The host family kept the traditional look and maintained the original artistry of the building style, while adding modern conveniences. The surrounding village is quiet and picturesque, a serene escape from a noisy urban environment. We followed the directions, using GPS coordinates for the first time, and found the meeting spot with no problems. The host family was extremely kind and welcoming. Interesting historic and natural sites and excellent restaurants are within a short driving distance. We will never forget our two nights in this beautiful place.

This was a lovely house, just right for some time away and peace and quiet. It was very clean and tidy, with all the things we needed for our stay. The welcome we had was really nice, including the basket of local items - a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. We'd come back! Muita obrigada.

Grandmother's house is a great place to stay. If you like calm place, close to the nature it's perfect for you. Stonehouse where it's cool even if it's 40 degrees outside and a nice garden with orange tree for your own. The house is located in a small village and there are a few river beaches close to. Fatima and Virgilio Moreira are extremely nice and helpfull. We are gratefully for their hospitality. We strongly recommend the house and we hope we will come back there next time. Marta and Mikael

We cannot thank Virgilio and Fatima enough for their welcome and the continued hospitality shown throughout our stay. Grandma's House has everything you need for a peaceful holiday. There are three spacious bedrooms , a comfortable living area and kitchen, whilst outside there is an enclosed garden , complete with barbeque area , where you can pick your own oranges from the tree . There are numerous walks in the area and the local town of Proenca A Nova is only five minutes drive away. It was our first visit to the area and it will not be the last.
