Blissful Retreat In Rock Hall

This property provided a great environment to unwind and enjoy a relaxing holiday getaway!

This was our 4th stay at the Blissful Retreat where we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. It is a PERFECT retreat. House is lovely. Barb has worked hard to make sure we had everything we need from coffee, tea and fresh muffins to a great bathroom with a sauna and heated floor. It is a perfect place to relax. We will be back!

The property is just lovely, quiet and peaceful, and the cottage was charming. Kind of remote, several miles from the small town of Rock Hall, which we appreciated. The views from the cottage were also wonderful. It has a kitchenette, so you can't do much cooking, but that was fine with us. It was a fully stocked kitchenette nonetheless. We ate at the Osprey Inn, just 3 miles away, which was a very nice restaurant. We drove into Chestertown, a half hour way, and that was a fun outing. We could see a bald eagle sitting atop a pole just across the road from the house!

My daughter and I loved it and hope to come back for a longer stay—5 plus days. She is from LA & I’m from Philly. We are going to recommend it to friends. We liked the fall season.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blissful Retreat. The home is absolutely beautiful, situated in a quaint and peaceful location. It was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.The only clarification I would offer is regarding the kitchen amenities. While the listing notes a “kitchen,” the property actually has a kitchenette. The space is well-suited for preparing light meals, but it is not equipped for more extensive cooking. Be sure to click on details to ensure the kitchen amenities are conducive to your stay. But overall, our experience was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Rock Hall.

The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Clean, roomy, beautifully decorated and the beds were great. Lots of great little details from robes and a steam shower to little snacks and a coffee and tea selection that was really nice. I highly recommend this retreat if you want comfort, quiet and relaxation. Five stars.

The name of the place is the perfect description. Our experience was truly a blissful retreat.

The name says it all. We made full use of the front porch for morning coffee and evening glasses of wine. We biked all over town to the different marinas (Definitely go to the Shanty!). We each took a turn in the glorious tub and steam shower. We saw deer, rabbits, herons, osprey, frogs, salamanders, turtles and many many birds. We fell in love with the neighboring town of Chestertown and it's farmer's market. It was only a three day stay but I feel as if I've been away for weeks!

Dollhouse paradise... Private,Quiet, Tranquil, ...Simply Blissful!!!Highly Recommend! Location is convenient to local grocery store and quaint town. The Flying Decoy restaurant is a must! So many added personal touches including personalized Blissful umbrellas which came in handy! The view from the loft upstairs bedroom is serene. Love love love the layout and pool table. We also loved walking in to Yacht Rock Radio playing in the background. We plan to come back for another getaway again

The cottage is very nice and you can tell the quality of the construction and furnishings the master bed was wonderfulb to sleep in, for both me and my wife .The surroundings are exceptionally quite and serene

I would recommend this little piece of Heaven to everyone. It was the coziest place and the views were breathtaking. A perfect little weekend getaway that we will do again

Blissful Retreat is a wonderfully appointed, lovely cottage just outside of Rock Hall. The host anticipated our every need. We spent time exploring the area; reading on the front porch facing the water; and birding right outside the cottage. We hope to return.

Charming house with privacy and woods/water views. Very relaxing from first arrival and the house is beautifully appointed and comfortable. Tiny kitchen but room in the freezer and oven for the 12 pizza we happened to bring. Pool table was an unusual and welcome addition! All the luxury comforts including robes and slippers in the spa bathroom. Kind hosts have lots of info about local places, which was especially useful for weekday visits, Highly recommend and will return!

Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing and everything we needed. The Cottage is Beautiful and very comfortable. Willard definitely be staying again.

Very nice cottage and location. Pristine condition. Mind that there is only a kitchenette, but there are many good dining options in Rock Hall nearby. No laundry equipment. We appreciated the bikes, the pool table, the EV charger and the bath / shower equipment.

We enjoyed the area and peaceful location. The host even left a note with things happening in the area during our stay.

My sister and I enjoyed another lovely stay at the beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable BR cottage. We visited St Michaels and Chestertown. We relaxed, read, walked, bird watched, and played pool. We also enjoyed yummy steamed crabs ? ??. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you !

BR is truly a quiet place to be. Only a short drive from Rock Hall, this is a great place especially for bikers looking for quiet roads right outside.

We had a lovely long weekend at Blissful Retreat! The place was immaculately clean and comfortable. There were lots of nice extras like teas, coffees, yogurt, baked goods, and snacks. The setting for the home is private and quiet in a lovely wooded area with a view of the water. We had a short drive to restaurants, the little beach, and boats. We look forward to staying there again!
