Beautiful waterfront cottage with the conveniences of home in central Maine.

Overall, this is a beautiful spot to stay! The pictures don’t do it justice! You are literally yards from the water. The hosts are very friendly. It was an unseasonably warm time and the air conditioning was great! We were very glad to have a dishwasher to use as well. There are multiple decks to sit on, as well as the dock and a seating area by the water. As an extra treat, the Northern Lights even showed up for us. What a great anniversary stay.

Wow.. just wow! The view! The peacefulness at all the right times. There are loons, fish that live under the dock (the dock has a table and chairs we used daily), a seaplane that uses the great pond, flowers, a busy hummingbird feeder, a kayak and canoe (which we unfortunately ran out of time before we could use), and a fully functional kitchen (we made creamy chicken noodle soup). We built a campfire made easy by the well stocked supplies and wood. We used the table and chairs on the small deck daily. The location is close to Bangor (did all the Stephen King things...so cool) the airport there but far enough out to really feel country. It's also a great jumping off point for many adventures Downeast, such as the many state a National parks and historical points of interest and LIGHTHOUSES. We just loved it. Our favorite place (5 nights) of the 4 we stayed on our 15 day journey.

John and Martha were fabulous hosts. The cabin was just lovely and clearly not a commercial rental. It was lovingly taken care of with lots of extras in the house for guests (like cream in frig for coffee). Firewood was stacked and ready, including lots of kindling, which made lighting both the fire outside by the lake and inside in the fireplace easy. Kayaking and canoeing (provided) around the lake and listening to the loons was magical. It was easy to get to, conveniently located between Bangor and Bar Harbor, and quiet. 10 out of 10.

This property is well-decorated, has plenty of reading materials, games, and supplies for cooking. The view is awesome, nicely arranged outdoor seating areas for eating, campfire, relaxing, and taking in the scenery.

We found this to be a very comfortable and relaxing cottage. Off the beaten path, but very easy to find. Feet from the lake and beautiful scenery - a short drive to Acadia / Schoodic. Would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful property - a rare find on an isolated pond - really beautiful!

My family wanted a peaceful Maine vacation on a pond. We were very blessed to have found the perfect cottage with the most amazing views overlooking the water. The cottage itself was extremely clean, very well stocked, decorated beautifully, and had so many amenities, including a dishwasher and air conditioning - both a rarity in a Maine cottage. The hosts were kind and very gracious. Given the chance, my family and I would not hesitate to rent again next year.

The cottage was beyond lovely. It is clean and filled with little touches that make the cottage a perfect home. I particularly enjoyed the use of the kayak, fire pit, wi-fi and dock.

We enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful location. Great dock, kayak, canoe, fire pit with Adirondack chairs. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Several living areas where we could spread out and relax. The view of the lake from the front room was amazing. Two nice decks and outdoor furniture. Just wish there had been a bedroom downstairs near the bathroom. But, we would definitely stay here again.

We go to Holbrook Pond every year but this was our first time at John and Martha’s camp and we couldn’t be happier. The location and views are wonderful, the house is clean, comfortable and has everything you will need and the hosts are welcoming and available if you have questions. Overall a terrific stay in a beautiful place with terrific hosts. We will be back. Thank you John and Martha!

It was a wonderful for a relaxing vacation. Gorgeous views, especially the sunrises and the loons.The hosts were most accommodating.We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Adorable cottage with an amazing view of the pond. Main floor very spacious, large kitchen, adorable decor with attention to detail. Set up to have a fire in the wood stove or outside right next to the pond. So relaxing and cozy! Owner is in main house next door and came and introduced himself when we arrived. Just the right amount of off the beaten path but still convenient to Bangor and local shops. We hope to return!
