Beautiful Skinner Cottage overlooking the lake

Overall nice property. Did not like the microfiber sheets on the bed. Air set at 65 which i thought was rather cold. Otherwise needs were thought out and met.

Small, clean, quiet little cabin bordering a small lake. A lovely place for a quiet getaway. Also close enough to some neat places of interest and entertainment. I Loved It!!!

Very comfortable, inviting and accessible.Area was very peaceful.Dock area was very clean and presented no hazards or overgrowth for swimming or docking.We look forward to booking another stay as we do not live very far yet the location allows for relaxation and escape from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

Great weekend getaway for my daughter’s 7th birthday. Cozy, inviting and well stocked with all the essentials.

The house was so cozy and comfortable thay we decided we would just hang out there all day. The kitchen had everything we needed. Pedal boat at the dock was super fun, and the life vests provided were clean. The waterfront area was perfect for soaking up a quiet lake. We saw a ton of birds big and small - osprey, herons, swans, swifts darting over the water, hummingbirds at the feeder. We did end up using the folding chairs in the sun room for our outdoor lunch, because the birds had messed up the deck chairs. Didn't hold us back! This was a perfect little spot for a calm retreat.

Wonderful lake cottage, spent alot of time on the deck and enclosed porch. Very relaxing and peaceful!

The side table on the far side in the queen room was real dirty. The black ants (as big as chickens) in the house were annoying. Otherwise, things were great. It didn’t hurt me at all to wipe the side table. Our girls weekend was wonderful. We even got to see the pair of swans swim by.

our first trip to Albion was in late 2020 and we’ve been back many times since. Love it

Wonderful weekend, clean and comfortable home on a beautiful lake. Kitchen stocked with pans and appliances so it was easy to cook and we enjoyed our meals on the deck. Quiet neighborhood and can't say enough praise of the lakeview. Nice grass area that was stocked with firewood. Host has thought of everything, even chargers in main bedroom for phones. Roku, puttgolf game and fishing poles!!! 5 stars

We were extremely pleased with this gem! The place was clean, host was easy to contact, and we enjoyed the boat and firepit. The bed was comfortable and the host paid a lot of attention to details. Overall, an excellent experience that I would recommend to others.

Inside was very clean and the host provided earthing and anything we might need minus our food. We enjoyed the pier to fish which we were successful catching several. We were disappointed with state of the outdoor space. It definitely could use some housekeeping.

Beautiful, cozy cabin right on the lake. We enjoyed the paddleboat, charcoal grill and firepit! If you happen to forget anything there’s a Walmart not too far away. View is amazing and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck. Fireplace was nice too! Cabin is well equipped with everything you need and our host is so kind!

The cottage was perfect! It’s very well stocked, super clean, and just the cutest. We loved the pontoon and evenings on the deck. Highly recommend!

Everything was excellent. Beautiful view of the lake. Had everything you needed in this home. Just bring your clothes and food everything else is provided. Lived our stay!!

My wife and I have stayed in places from Maine to California and your place has been the best one we’ve stayed at. You have thought of everything a person could need for their stay and added it to your home. Thanks for a wonderful place for us to get away from our every day life!

Wonderful time second time here will come back

We stayed at the sweet lake cottage with our son and his fiance. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal. The lakefront deck provided amazing views and was a perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee. ThePaddle boat and fishing poles provided lots of fun as did tbe lakefront firepit.

Such a clean, comfortable property! Fun lake decor inside and nice deck outside with lots of shade and flowers. Good times boating, swimming, and fishing!

We had a great time. Enjoyed being on the lake, watching the turtles. Early morning paddle boat rides were beautiful. We saw a bald eagle, a doe and her fawn, geese, and ducks. The lake house is cozy. We slept great. Such an enjoyable time.

Everything was perfect. The view is amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and husband’s birthday. The owners thought of everything! Even poop bags for your fuzzy kids. Highly recommend.

We were just in for a weekend getaway, this spot was perfect. Great view and access to the lake. My boys enjoyed going out fishing and just being outside. Everything was good!

We just spent our 4th new year retreat at Skinner Lake cottage. It is so peaceful, comfortably furnished, close to great places to eat and shop. We bring all our books, make a meal or tea, and relax. Monday was sunny and we had our coffee and read out on the deck. We love this place!

This is a nice and spacious cabin, right on the lake. The cabin is well appointed and supplied, and clearly well cared for. The back deck would be very nice for the summertime (not so much for us in winter). I took one star off for location because the front of the cabin is right on the highway (set back a bit), with neighbors all around. However, sitting in the back you may not notice.

The host provided everything guests needed and more. The place was lovely and peaceful - just what we wanted. Beautiful lake view from the deck. Loved the fact that bottles of cold water were in the refrigerator for us when we arrived - much needed and so thoughtful. I use a walker and all rooms, porch and deck were accessible.
