Beautiful hilltop lake house

The property was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Very convenient area but still very quiet and a perfect relaxing weekend!

I’ve stayed in lots of VRBO listings and this was my favorite in the area! Absolutely beautiful views and awesome set up. Would absolutely stay again!

This was a perfect place to stay. It was a great base for exploring the local wineries and would also be a great spot for exploring the lake or the several historic areas in close proximity. Everything was clean, comfortable, and as described. My only advice would be that if you have trouble with walking or stairs you might consider another option as you need to walk down a few uneven steps to get from the parking spot to the house. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Everything was great!

Was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean and very well stocked, quiet and peaceful perfect place to unwind and relax.

The property is very nice! It is modern with old Texas charm. Nicely appointed with all amenities. Relaxing outdoor space. The deer that walk through the yard are visible from large windows. The owner, Jose, communicated well and was accommodating. We enjoyed some of the suggested amenities too.

Our host did a great job of communicating. Could not have asked for any more. The home was exceptionally clean, beautiful area, quiet, and just as described. Certainly a place I would visit again.

The location and property were fabulous. It was far enough away from Sam Antonio to where the stars were beautiful at might and close enough that we were able to go into town a few times. The property was beautiful and the balcony was perfect for my proposal to my girlfriend.

Bed was very comfortable. Decent Wi-Fi. Kitchen well stocked.

We had an amazing stay and the location was perfect. Not too remote, but just secluded enough. Close to many attractions, trails, and fun restaurants in the hill country. The patio was where we spent most of our time and loved it. Left feeling recharged and refreshed. However, the view isn’t as visible as the photos as there are some trees blocking the view. Not a big deal but just a heads up! We loved the deer that visited and fed them lots of deer corn. The place had most of what you needed and the host is super responsive. There was a grease stain on my pillow case… it definitely seemed washed but I suggest it should be replaced. We also saw a couple of sugar ants on the counter. Very minor details for a perfect little cottage in the hills.

Beautiful house with a view. We unfortunately weren't able to stay due to my neuropathy and the terrain with walking around.

Great communication with the host. The house is in a beautiful location. We spent most of our time on the porch and in the hammocks. The house was comfortable clean and cozy. Loved that we were able to bring our dogs. We would stay again!

The place was wonderful. You felt secluded yet you were actually in the middle of everything. Close to good restaurants, especially Elio‘s Italian restaurant. Or if you want to go further and do the caverns and Guadalupe State Park or just hang close and do the Comal nature tour and the Gorge. Dogs loved it and the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace were definite plus when it was cold. Deer everywhere

Everything in this house is perfect the view the cleanliness , the supply in this house is everything from the laundry the kitchen supplies the towels the bed is comfortable. The quietness and peaceful nature view

The house absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect stay for a perfect weekend. Centrally located to everything you'd want to do in the Hill Country, and so warm and welcoming. Wish we had more time to enjoy all the house had to offer, but we will certainly be back!

We absolutely loved staying here. Check in/out was super easy, the house was super clean and cozy, and the balcony has the most beautiful view. I loved how tucked away the property was and we enjoyed watching the deer/birds come and visit us. I highly recommend this property!!

My hubs and I, along with our dog, really enjoyed this quiet place. It felt pretty secluded, and was decorated really cozy. And it was so clean! We cooked just a little and the kitchen had quite a few items to help out. We didn't do much outside of walks and visit the lake, as this home provided us space and place to relax and chill. There was a binder put together containing attractions and things to do should one want to journey out and about. I would enjoy staying here again!

Overall it was an amazing stay, however there were just a few things that really stood out as needing improvement.-Driveway: i know thats out of your control, but a warning about the narrowness of the driveway itself and possibility of scraping the bottom of low cars on the listing would be appreciated-Privacy: the side green door would benefit from a curtain since it gives a direct line of sight into the kitchen, which can be unnerving at night-Security: the latch of the side green door is not secure at all. Me knocking on the door was enough to knock the latch inside loose, leaving the only lock being the latch outside. I would reccomend switching the large latch outside to the inside or some other mechanism

Everything was great but getting into the driveway was kind of difficult.

Beautiful, peaceful and unique property! We loved our stay. It was very relaxing. Deer, hummingbirds, and even little kittens were on the property. The only negative thing would be the driveway had pretty sharp corners and was hard to get in/out in an F250. But still was possible. We loved our stay and would stay again.

Awesome house. Stayed over for 3 nights. Everything is there you will need for your visit. Super clean. Very close to the lake and New Braunfels. I love this place so much that I plan to stay there on my next trip to the area. Many thanks to the host.

Good reason it has so many great reviews. Very easy place. Extremely comfortable especially for smaller families like ours. Would definitely recommend it and look to stay there again.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit. The house is very well stocked with everything that you would need, and then some. There is food for the deer and birds. There is plenty of wild life that visits the property. We had seven bucks pass through a couple of times. There were three doe and a spike that would hang out for long periods. Got to see a fox and some roadrunners come through.

Wonderful! My favorite part was all the birds and deer who clearly know they are safe and loved at this sweet haven.

Great little house on hillside. Egress a little challenging with steps, but we had a great stay.

I'm in love with this property. The house is so cute and has so much character. It was exceptionally clean. The host has provided anything you could need, or forgot to pack! The view is breathtaking, and the back yard is a litlle slice of heaven. Very serene and relaxing. The nearby restaurants have amazing food.

Great communication with the host. This was a cute little oasis for relaxing in nature yet close enough to town. Very clean & we had everything we needed. It was stocked well. Highly recommend this sweet little spot!

We had a wonderful trip at this cottage. The view was amazing. The steps going up and down to the house were a bit of a challenge due to knee problems for both my husband and myself. Loved having the balcony with a gate for our dog to lay outside. Love seeing the deer come around. Will be back soon. Loved our stay there. Lots of pet friendly restaurants close by. We loved staying at this quaint, cozy house tucked into the hills. It had gorgeous views and although we had neighbors nearby the trees gave us privacy and quiet. We will definitely be staying here again.

The property was neat and clean and had everything we needed. Completely enjoyed the deer. Only drawback is lots of stairs and steep terrain for us. However, we did enjoy our stay.

The home was clean and well cared for. Easy check in and check out process. The views were amazing and morning coffee with the deer walking by was a bonus. Would stay again. You have a beautiful home!

House was super cute and clean! Lots of privacy and water pressure in the shower was A+! Took a couple tries but eventually figured out how to get into the driveway in one swoop lol. Would definitely stay again!

This was the most magical 2 days of our lives. We had recently gotten some devastating news and my husband and I needed to get away from it all. This vacation home ticked every box and then some. It was private. It was spacious. It was clean. It smelled amazing. It is impeccably decorated with interesting and charming artifacts. You can just feel the good energy in this cottage. We saw deer all day. I even saw a 6 point buck! Everything you could need - it's there. And MY most favorite part, EVERYTHING is labeled and WORKS! It was so relaxing because of the great care and pride these owners show their home. I almost don't want to post because I want it to be our secret but it's too amazing to not share with the world. If you're on the fence...book it. You will not regret it. The place is EXACTLY like the pictures. It's perfect. Thank you so much for your hospitality. It meant the world to us. Jason and Laura
