Beachy Cottage by the sea

The location was wonderful just steps away from the beach. The cottage was cute and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Our stay was different than most, in that this was not vacation. We had traveled from MO for my daughter to have a complicated hip surgery at Mayo Clinic. We needed a place to stay while she was recuperating & had strict criteria regarding bathroom access, single level accommodations and minimal or no stairs. Prior to booking, I messaged the host Barbara to confirm the accuracy of the listing and explained the situation. She was quick to respond and reassured me and took the time to answer all of my questions This beautiful home met our needs perfectly!While we were here, we had other significant family trials that occurred back home. One of the evenings I had to call Barbara with a question about the thermostat and she casually asked “How’s everything going”. For some reason I poured out all that was on my broken heart to a woman I’ve never laid eyes on. She was incredibly kind and sympathetic to our needs. She was a blessing that I would have never expected and helped my family beyond what I could have expected and I’m confident more than she even knows. We would stay in any property she ever owned simply based on the compassion she showed to us in our time of need. The house is amazing, clean, so cute and private and a short walk to the beach, but the owner…she’s a gem. Thank you Barbara, I will forever be thankful for you!

We were at this awesome property to attend my nephew's wedding and a family reunion, and tied our vacation to those events. We could not have been more impressed with the accommodations, as we found the cottage to be fully stocked with everything we needed. The host was very responsive, and we could not think of anything we needed that was not provided. It was the perfect place to relax, or go to the beach, or enjoy one fo the many great restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is perfect for families with children and elderly parents. Very close to the beach, one story with easy access for entering and exiting the property. Our only suggestion might be that they update the linens and maybe mattresses in the property and the second bathroom. The clawfoot tub, shower was a little tricky and hard to get in and out of for adults.

We had a wonderful time! The beach house is roomy, comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you need for your stay. It’s an easy short walk to the beach and restaurants. We definitely would love to return and enjoy the beach house again.

Cute little beach house - literally in prime location for walking the block to the beach. The home is older, but met our needs for a Spring Break vacation. Easy contactless check in and out. Beds were super comfortable. Barbara was great to work with, communicated with us when we booked and again a couple days before. Thanks for a great stay at Jax Beach!

Property is walkable to the beach and walkable to quite a few restaurants. One that turned out very good. Ouxaca.Neighborhood was quiet and parking was very easy. Layout of the house is also good for families, one floor.

I have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties, this has to be one of the best stocked properties I have ever been in. I needed a well stocked kitchen to prepare Thanksgiving dinner and I got it. The house had everything you could possibly need like bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, coffee, beach towels etc….The house is the perfect beach cottage and made this family vacation one to remember . I would rent this place over and over! Thank you Barbra !
