Stayed Sep 6, 2025Location in the middle of the UP worked well for us. Loved the proximity to the beach, just a short walk. We could hear the waves from the house as the water was a bit rough during our stay. The bathroom is small but that allows you to get in and out quicker :) As others have mentioned, bring your drinking water as there is a sulphur smell. Great communication with the property manager. All in all we had a great week!

Stayed Jun 28, 2025The cabin was adorable. The beds were super comfortable. But the highlight was the absolutely beautiful, soft sand beach, which is hard to find. Unfortunately, we have not been to the UP in July in a few years. We did not realize that was black fly season so we only ended up staying on the beach for a maximum 20 minutes at a time because the black flies were bitting hard and swarming. I think if we had come in August or September it would have been much better. That being said, the location was amazing. Marquette is so family friendly. My son had so much fun. We were also only 30 minutes from Munising and pictured rock. We will definitely come back another year in August if we have the opportunity.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024We loved this cottage and it was the perfect end of summer vacation. It was about 15 minutes from town but easy to get. We enjoyed Marquette with lots to do and the slow pace of the city. We spent most of our time on the beach, we did bring paddle boards and sand toys for the kids. We ventured out to Picturing Rocks, Black Rocks, and a few hikes.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024The cabin was clean. The short path to the beach was an easy walk and the beach sand is light and fluffy. East walking beach and shallow out for a few hundred feet which was great for our kids. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and storage containers. Can’t say enough good things about the beach! There’s a pretty solid grocery store just ten minutes to the west in Harvey, and the drive in to Marquette is easy. Hopefully soon the Iron Ore Heritage Trail will be extended to Lakenenland across the street to make an off-road bicycle route all the way into Marquette available from the property.
