Beach Cottage With Private Home Gym 2 Blocks From The Beach

Within walking distance of pier, restaurants, and small store on the corner.

The property works well for any one visiting Kure Beach, short term or long term. The property is well located, clean, and has all the amenities for beach living.

We are traveling there for fishing, it is really close to the pier, like 3-4 mins walk. and it is also close to restaurants and grocery stores. The house is clean and cozy, we really enjoy it, and definitely will come back!!!!

The location is walking distance to the beach as well as restaurants and the pier. It is also very cozy for a couple. Although the temps were in the low 40's for our stay we still enjoyed a short drive to Fort Fisher and the walk along the beach and then across the road at the fort along the Cape Fear. We also enjoyed the short walk to the beach by the pier. Jack Mackerel was the only restaurant open per the season, but we enjoyed the drive up to Kates in Carolina Beach for breakfast on Saturday. The furnishings were new and very comfortable.

This is the perfect location! You are walking distance to the beach, restaurants, playground area, and local shops. We visited the aquarium for the day, which is a short drive. The small gym area in the back is wonderful! Overall, I would highly suggest this place.

Location was a 10 but , The home was in a bit of despair and it wasn’t very clean . Furniture was in bad need of cleaning also. I feel confident that we left it cleaner than when we got there. Cleaning fee should be returned to us in my opinion. The CONSTANT BARKING of the neighbors dogs was MOST annoying to say the least! Not a good experience at all. We won’t be returning to this VRBO

The beach house was in a great location and just a short five minute walk to the ocean. It was small but adequate for two people and two dogs. The rental was not very clean and the outdoor trash cans were so full we could barely take the trash out. The bathroom shower was moldy, and there was dirt and toilet splatter on the walls near the plunger and toilet bowl brush. The bathroom sink was so small that we would hit out head on the medicine cabinet while trying to brush our teeth. The on-site laundry was convenient, but the washer/dryer was not clean and needed to be cleaned out and wiped down before it could be used. The shower base was very soft and spongy, and the patch covering the hole was coming up. The floor in the bedroom at the foot of the bed was also very spongy. We did not use the gym or rent any of the additional equipment that was offered. It seems that general maintenance and cleanliness were lacking.

Nice location, about 2 blocks walking from the pier. If you are a fitness guru, the gym in the back looks off the chain. Restaurants/bars within walking distance. On the main avenue entering Kure Beach. Kitchen has mostly what is needed. No oven…but microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender, pots and pans, utensils, plates, etc. The entry pad was unlit at the beginning, which led to a few incorrect entry codes initially. But overall, a good experience. We were there for the beach and ambiance..both boxes checked during our stay.

There were some pluses and minuses with our stay. The location was nice being about 3 blocks from the beach. The road in front at times was busy and loud since its a main thoroughfare to the small town of Kure Beach. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded. The cottage could use some TLC and a deep cleaning especially the bathroom and shower surround. The kitchen is adequate and had everything you need. Some lights are burnt out and need replacing. The bed is very comfortable. The exercise room was a bonus. It had all the free weights you needed and other equipment including peloton bikes and flat screen TV. The outside seating area was not very private and was overgrown with weeds and outside seats need new cushions. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The cottage could be nicer if owners do some minor things as mentioned above.

I love the location, but when we got there. We noticed the floor looked kind of dirty, but we just kind of went on with our business unloading the car. But we walked into the restroom. There was hair on the side of sink, I looked down and notice women's hair or child's hair all over the bottom of the floor in the bathroom. Then I look by the shower more hair and rubber bands, I looked at the side of shower it had mildew, dust and dirt. I was in shocked. The side of the toilet there was urine. I reach out to Antonio. To let him know, he said that he would have them come back and clean. But after traveling all day, nobody wants other people in there, especially you do not know them. We didn't feel comfortable for them to come out. After we complained. So I swept up the floor and I sent him pictures. He didn't even say sorry. I apologize or nothing. That's what upsets me the most. The remote control to the TV did not even have batteries that worked. We had to download the app to use the tv. This place needs a major deep clean and some TLC. But over all perfect location and nice place.

The property is in a fantastic location and the size is perfect for a couple, offering good overall value. However, there were some issues. Noticeable soft spots in the bedroom floor and shower, noticeable cockroach activity both indoors and outdoors, and the cleanliness could have been better. Additionally, the tall, unmaintained grass made the yard and patio space unusable.

This property really is walking distance to the beach and the wagon was very much appreciated.

This was our second stay this summer. The cottage is in a perfect location and has everything needed for a wonderful vacation. My daughter especially loved the gym!! Our host, Joe, was quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for sharing your little vacation home… we will certainly be back!!!

Perfect house for our family. Just a small walk from the pier and beachfront and tons of restaurants nearby. Close enough to Carolina Beach that its an easy drive there as well!

Great location! Within walking distance to everything! The cottage exceeded all expectations.. the gym was a wonderful bonus! Restaurants are nearby but we utilized the outdoor gas grill for most of our meals which was so convenient! The cottage even included a beach wagon which came in so handy for carrying all of our beach gear. My daughter loved being close to yoga at the beach pavilion! Another added bonus was that we were able to have our two small dogs along on the vacation . To say we had a great time at this little gem is an understatement. From day one we were already planning to return! Joe, thank you for sharing your precious cottage with us!

The location was great, plenty of things to walk to including the beach. The cottage itself shows its age and could use some attention. If you're planning to spend the majority of your time outdoors, you likely wouldn't notice as much as we did but it rained on us for the majority of the stay so we were stuck inside. Still, we enjoyed our stay there.

Nice & Cozy!

This little cottage was perfect for me, my husband, and our dogs. It was so close to the corner store, restaurants, and the pier! Fort Fisher was just a 5 min drive away! We loved our stay.

Crack in the floor of the shower and soft. Storm door screws falling out. Ant hillls outside on the driveway. Yard work was less than neat It was very clean inside and comfortable. Nice location.

We had a perfect winter break at this beach cottage. Great location with walking distance to the beach, restaurants and a pub. Enjoyed the home and gym, would stay again for sure!

The location was perfect, walk to the beach, store, restaurant's and Kure beach pier. House was small, but perfect for us. Just a few minor things to repair but nothing that was an issue. Everything was as advertised and it was neat and clean.

My husband and I just wanted a nice quiet weekend away. Well little did we know there was a tropical depression sitting out there waiting to come in to visit us lol. But I want you to know we never lost power, We were not located in any flood area. And Joe stayed in complete contact with us during this time making sure that we were OK and all our needs were taken care of. I would definitely stay there again.

Very clean and comfortable

Didn’t realize cottage was so close to main road so lots of noise in the area, ceiling fan in bedroom was noisy, kitchen utensils could use replacing and sliding closet doors in bedroom were falling off the tracking. But space was nice, grill works well and walk to beach very close!!
