We had a wonderful long weekend stay in July and enjoyed every minute of it. I am a Cape Cod girl and the knotty pine brought back all kinds of childhood memories! This place is darling and decorated perfectly. They had everything you would need for a stay along with a quick walk to the beach. The grocery was a bonus next door!

Honest review. We did enjoy our stay, but I want to clarify some minor things. It is a fairly quiet area but we stayed during a not so busy time, big kitchen, comfortable soft beds except the fold out couch mattress was horrible, the deck was nice and perfect for our medium size dog. The yard area really needed to be mowed. The cafe next door wasn't the best view, but they have good food and probably the best coffee on the island and I tried several places and we visit Carolina Beach often. It is an old house (totally ok) but it has some quirks. The shower water would go to either extremely hot or cold all by itself, it was annoying. The doors and door knobs were very old and its just best to not try to close the interior doors. The downstairs area smelled old and moldy which was expected. We had issues with the keypad lock. After following all instructions and even sending in a video of us using the keypad with instructions someone had to come let us in and then gave us a set of regular keys. The area has changed since photos were taken of the house so just know there is a big condo in front of it across the street and a big rental house feet from it in the back. Beach access was close. Take extra bath towels and sheets for fold out mattress if needed. Overall, we would probably stay here again.

Backyard will be great once it is landscaped/mowed. Just fyi, small dogs can and did get out of fence. Excellent location. Very close to beach access. Small store/cafe/coffee bar next door. Home comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Beach chairs and an umbrella were available for us to use.

Very comfortable and pleasant house. It was terribly hot during our stay so the beach visits were later in the evening when it cooled down slightly. It was very welcoming home and it was a nice stay in A/C. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone to stay in. Surf's Up !!!!

Plenty of space for 8 people. Beach access is just a few steps away. Beach chairs and umbrella were available to use. Kitchen had everything needed. No ice maker, but no problem, a cute little store/cafe/coffee bar is right next door. They sell bags of ice along with anything else you might need. The home is clean and decorated so beachy cute!!

The property was as advertised, across the street from the beach, perfect for our family's needs. Definitely would return!
