Stayed Oct 14, 2025Great communication from Karen, including a guide to the area's highlights. The cottage was a great respite from days spent hiking around Glencoe and the Highlands. Loved sitting by the creek and listening to the roaring falls. Easy walk into Killin (where everyone was very friendly and welcoming) for a quick trip to the Co-Op, a pint, or dinner if you don't feel like using the well-equipped kitchen. Loads of books, movies, and games were perfect for a night in, too. Exactly what we had hoped for.

Stayed Sep 22, 2025Idyllic spot in Killin, cottage located right near the falls. Host was helpful and quick to reply when we had issues with the shower, they also provided plenty of info about the local area.

Stayed Sep 12, 2025Lovely, well equipped cottage in the heart of Killin, just a minute walk to the Falls of Dochart and the Falls of Dochart Inn. Also within walking distance of shops and other places to eat like the River Inn. Enjoyed our stay despite the rain. Lots of beautiful scenery in the area and loved seeing the oldest tree in Europe, perhaps in the world in Fortingall.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Barn Cottage is a lovely well equipped cottage in a fantastic location, just a minute or so walk from the Falls of Dochart Inn which serves great food. The host was very easy to contact, very helpful and accommodating on our check-in time. The location is perfect for exploring the region and there are some lovely walks on the doorstep.

Stayed Sep 18, 2024Fantastic cottage close to everything. Used as a base for a golf vacation. We played 5 courses within 30 minutes and the Killin course was great. Took the Sir Walter Scott steamship and rented ebike from Katrine Wheelz and rode back. We walked to the pub @ 100 yards away for some great food and drinks. Very cozy and the water running next to the cottage is really cool. Would defiantly recommend. We hope to stay there again. Thanks

Stayed Sep 3, 2024My husband and I stayed in the barn cottage for just about a week. While most of our days were spent driving and exploring we enjoyed coming back every night to the comfort of the cottage. The sound of the water flowing through the property is amazing and relaxing, and the views are spectacular. 10/10 recommend staying here!

Stayed Aug 2, 2024A nice quiet holiday home awaits the visitor. The kitchen is small but well sorted. The bathroom, two bedrooms - all was well prepared and exactly as described in the expose. Karen is a very courteous and uncomplicated host. The location allows hikes and excursions into the Highlands and to the famous castles around Glasgow and Edinburgh. What's more, the waterfall is an excellent sleep aid.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in July and found the Barn everything we needed. On the one really sunny day that we had we took a nice walk and then sat by the river and let the day go by. It was the most restful day of our vacation. Inside, the Bed was comfortable, bathroom worked well, kitchen was well equiped, market was within walking distance, as was pub, the sound of the river swept us to sleep and even the nasty colds that came down upon us didn't ruin our time in Killin. (We even went to the Cave of Caerbannog and saw a killer rabbit... it was stuffed with white fluff. And then we came back to the Barn and watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail- great night!) We would come back!
