Situated in the centre of the Lake Districts most popular village, Grasmere, Bakers Rest is ideal for a larger group or 2 families holidaying together. Converted from, as the name suggests, the old bakery, the property has been updated with all modern comforts, including en-suites in each bedroom. A few minutes walk brings you to the shops, restaurants, pubs and the lake.

Grasmere is ideally based to explore the Lake District with Ambleside a short drive south with Bowness and Windermere beyond and Keswick a short drive to the north. Surrounded by mountains it is perfect for walkers wanting to explore and look down on the stunning scenery from the top, or for those looking for gentler walks, there are a number of low level walks to be enjoyed including Grasmere Lake. The village has a number of art galleries including, tea rooms, convenience store and gift shops.

The first and second floor maisonette is centrally heated and comprises:

First floor: The large dining/lounge has comfy sofas are set around the TV and large dining table. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a sumptuous meal with electric oven/hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and island breakfast table. Double bedroom and twin bedrooms both with en-suite shower room.

Second floor: Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

We provide all gas, electric, bed linen and towels. There are 2 parking permits for nearby car park provided. A cot and highchair are available. There is Wi-Fi throughout the cottage.

    Well equipped, spacious and clean. Nice towels and good water pressure. Good directions/instructions and car parking permit is useful. A few small niggles, only one key provided and one door that slammed occasionally.

    Great service arranging our holiday and a few queries from Gail The accommodation was ideal with two bedroom on each floor , both en suite Located in the centre of the village but off the main thoroughfare suites us ideally Looking forward to returning in the Autumn
