Stayed Jul 12, 2025We had a fantastic week in this beautiful old property that takes you back in time, with low ceilings and doorways, walls several feet thick and exposed wooden beams.Our family consisted of 3 generations, grandparents children & grandchildren and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025Had a wonderful stay here with my extended family from America, a unique property bursting with character. The farm animals were a big hit as was the kind hosts. We spent about 2 weeks in the wexford area (mostly to the west) and had enough to see and do with good food options nearby as well. The Saltee Islands, and Hook Peninsula are must see attractions to explore. Plenty of peace and quiet and rural countryside and not overly touristy which was nice.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025We had booked Anna and Jim’s cottages for our party of 10 to enjoy our first trip to Ireland. Anna and Jim are wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. The cottages are comfortable, charming and unique, set in a fairly remote location, so a car is a must. Our youngest daughter enjoyed counting the lambs and feeding the resident donkeys and we were given a fascinating tour of the castle by Jim. We used the cottages as a base to explore the stunning beaches within 10-15 minutes drive, and to go further afield to explore the historic towns of Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny. A trip to the local pub The Hideout also comes highly recommended - the landlady is very welcoming and it is an easy 1 mile walk down extremely quiet roads.

Stayed Dec 28, 202414 of us (6 adults and 8 children aged 3 to 9) had a wonderful stay at the cottages over new years. The cottages oozed character and the bedrooms were very comfortable. There was so much to explore for the kids. Anna was a very friendly and courteous host. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Aug 24, 2024We loved the cottages and setting. There was plenty of space for the 11 of us inside and out. The children loved the outdoor space and feeding the donkeys, chicken and sheep. The hosts were very welcoming and the tour of the castle was a great adventure!

Stayed May 5, 2024Our stay was more than we could have anticipated! The cottages were lovely and cozy. The property was exceptional, with beautiful gardens and sweet animals. Anna and Jim were wonderful hosts and we loved everything about our tower tour with Jim.

Stayed Apr 12, 2024Rented the Butlerstown Castle for family birthday celebration. Hosts really went all out. Prepared a cake for me. Gave fantastic historical tours which were enjoyed. They made us feel at home. I highly recommend. Would make a great corporate retreat venue.

Stayed Jul 29, 2023We had a wonderful stay here. Cottages are lovely and the gardens are beautiful. Lots of open sapce and donkeys to feed! Anna, Jim and Jack were so nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend a tour of the tour with Jim. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining.
