A hidden Gem in a beautiful neighborhood.

You can’t go wrong staying at this lovely cottage. It is so peaceful and quiet. The owner (John) was responsive and very nice. Sitting on the deck looking out at beautiful Lake Norman, watching the deer walk through the yard is priceless. Would definitely stay again. Thanks John!!

This cottage is in a great location with a view of the lake from the large back deck, large sliding glass door in the bedroom, or sliding glass door in the main living area. I really enjoyed being able to walk directly out of the bedroom onto the deck? The property is located in a cove with access to a second sitting area and fire pit. Note: there are approximately 22 steps down to this location which may be an accessibility issue for visitors who have trouble with stairs. A small beach area was available during my visit, however due to the approximate 2 foot drop off, I was not able to access it due to my own mobility issues. The inside of the cottage was comfortable for my family of three. My teenage son slept on the pull out sofa bed. There was also a loveseat that could also be used as a pull out bed. The kitchen seemed to be updated and had everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom had a nice big walk in shower. The laundry area is accessible through the bathroom with all of supplies needed to wash your clothes. Overall, this was a great property and the owner, John, was very responsive to anything we needed during our stay. I would definitely recommend this lake property for future stays.

Very nice place! The host was very easy to communicate with. Everything we needed was in place including the use of 2 kayaks! We fished from the dock and saw several deer in the property. Would definitely stay again! Beautiful sunsets as well!

Sheer perfection! We booked the Azalea Cottage while visiting family and celebrating an anniversary. We lived in Mooresville for a while and spent a good bit of time on the lake so it was only natural that we wanted to find a spot on the water. The views are amazing and the cottage was perfect, having everything that we could have needed plus some. John is an amazing host who was even kind enough to give some lure suggestions when fishing off of the dock at night and utilizing his Green Monster Fishing Light! We are already trying to plan our next visit!

Azalea Cottage on beautiful Lake Norman is fantastic! Great location and Brawley School Road to get to it is stunningly landscaped with beautiful views in every direction. The cottage is very comfortable, incredibly clean, and includes everything you need for a great vacation. We hope to return.

VRBO was nice, only thing I would change is using less of the Fabuloso for your cleaning. People who are sensitive to smells will think it is very overpowering.

After 5 days of nothing in Black Mountain and after the wrath of Helene, my family escaped to this little cottage on Lake Norman. My 7 year old boy, Breccan’ couldn't stop running and jumping off the dock. The cottage is perfect for 3-4 people. Great great neighborhood. Excellent food in the area! And we grilled a few time on the porch. Highly recommended!
