All Season Vermont Vacation Cottage. Pet Friendly!

John is a great host and super easy to communicate with. His cottage is perfect for me and my dog to explore the great outdoors in the Craftsbury-Greenboro area. The cottage is also very close to two great general stores, the Genny in Craftsbury and Willey’s in Greensboro. The cottage has all the amenities you need to stay as long as you want and also has a great yard just to hang outside and play with your dog.

This was a wonderful find! Spacious, quiet, and clean--what more could you ask for. The host got back to me within 10 minutes when I had a question. Our dog loved the space he had outside just to be a dog. We will definitely put this one on our list of places to come back to.

Had the feel of a cute, family cabin with everything we needed in a beautiful setting.John was very responsive and left clear instructions.

Great Layout. Bedroom is pretty squished with the full bed taking most of the floor space. Water pump is quite loud when in the bedroom. But there is lots of other space. Comfy bed. Comfy seating. Everything you need in kitchen. Place was quite clean. Perfect for a couple.

I’ve stayed at this cottage a few times and it’s always great! Cozy on the inside, plenty of yard space for dogs to enjoy, quiet location but close to stores and restaurants. The location is great to explore all of Northern Vermont, and the host is very responsive and helpful!

We had a wonderful stay. The home has everything you need for a weekend X-Country Getaway to Craftsbury, VT. Host was very responsive to inquiries about local activities.

Accommodations were clean and simple. Check in and out were very easy. Efficient coms with the host.

We were really happy with our stay. Was surprised how cozy and warm the cottage was in negative temperatures, and it was more spacious than anticipated with the loft area. Our dog really enjoyed the large private yard. Host gave good instructions and tips. C Village Store is a must when visiting. Bring bottled water since it is well water.

Fabulous cabin! Two day stay for some cross country ski competition at Craftsbury outdoor center. Lovely quiet cabin. Very comfortable. Nice and relaxing between races. Well equipped kitchen everything you need. Open concept, gas stove was lovely. Great to sit around have some meals and chat. Would definitely come back again! 5/5

Very nice and tidy cottage/cabin in beautiful Craftsbury. Perfect weekend getaway.

The sunset had everything wash machine coffee pot, blankets and wfi and tv. Had no neighbors easy to get there.

The cottage was super relaxing- we loved that there were woods around the property but not too much to be concerned about wildlife. The Genny in town was amazing!

This was our family's first big trip since our child was born 9 months ago. The cottage was absolutely perfect for us and our dog. Quiet, clean, plenty of space, and easily accessible. We would, and certainly hope to visit again!

Beautiful, quiet location surrounded by farmland on the South Albany Road. Rented for friends visiting us nearby. Great communication throughout. Highly recommended.

The sunset cottage is so much more than the pictures even tell you! Amazing views, communicative host, private area. The cottage has everything you need, my dog had the best time running in the yard playing fetch while we enjoyed having somewhere to hunker down after checking the area out all day. Definitely will be back!!

Lovely location and yard. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Bedroom space was tight, but certainly adequate. The well pump was a bit noisy. Overall, 4.5 stars and we would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Always a great stay at Sunset Cottage! John is a great host. He is always quick to respond to any messages I send him, and always available to help with any questions! The cottage is very cozy while being plenty of space for a few people to stay. Check-in and check-out process is super easy. Good internet connection as well!

Great cottage, great location too! It's quiet but close to shops and restaurants. It's perfect for if you want a place to hunker down and just relax for a few days, and just as perfect if you want to explore the NEK all day and have a cozy place to come back to at night!

This cottage is the perfect spot for a comfortable winter getaway. I felt so at peace sitting by the fire with a cup of tea, staring out the big living room windows glistening with icicles onto our little refuge in the mountains. The host was communicative and stocked us up with some essentials we would need during our stay, including a list of nearby stores that could provide for all of our needs. Craftsbury is a charming little town and its General Store is filled with delicious, locally-made food.

This place far exceeded our expectations! We had an incredible time. The property has everything you would need and more. If it’s available, you should definitely book!

The house is very cozy - very clear that people use it, not like a hotel room, in a good way. Has great heat in the winter and it was amazing to have a washer and dryer for those wet winter days.

The cabin was very spacious on the inside while the areas on need(kitchen, bathroom) were easy to access. The ceiling had some cobwebs and there were many flies inside on the upper level. The front and backyard were cut nicely. Overall, the cabin was enjoyable to stay at.

My husband and I had a great time staying in Craftsbury. We had a little trouble locating the cottage— but one we retraced our steps with the check in directions we were able to find it! We had a lovely stay and would definitely come again.

Spent 5 days with my dog in the NEK. The Sunset Cottage was a perfect home base to explore the area for hiking, sightseeing and visiting surrounding towns and villages. The property yard was perfect to enjoy the crisp early autumn weather and play with my dog. The cottage provided all the amenities needed for my stay.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at John’s sunset cottage. We were able to truly unplug and feel comfortable and at home! Would recommend for a relaxing stay.

Second time staying here did not disappoint. Couldnt find the grill utensils biggest problem. Great stars!

A very sweet, clean home in a great part of Vermont. Truly in the middle of the woods. Lots to explore. Craftsbury is a charming blink-and-you'll-miss-it town with an excellent general store (The Genny). Hill Farmstead Brewery has incredible beer; sit out and enjoy. Swimming in Caspian Lake to cool off. John is an available and communicative host. Am hoping someone will get back to me about the jeans I accidentally left behind but no biggie if not. Definitely a special place from which to explore the NorthEast Kingdom!
