Stayed Oct 11, 2021My husband & I booked this place for the Jazz Fest which was changed to October. A few weeks after our reservations were confirmed I emailed the owner for a few more details on the property. A few days later I received a cancellation notice. The owner stated that at the time of our reservation he didn't realize we booked for Jazz Fest. He canceled our reservation so his friends could stay there and attend Jazz Fest. Needless to say we were not to happy.

Stayed Jun 4, 2026Tom and Ann were excellent hosts. We were absolutely enamored by the house, property, and neighborhood! NOLA is a magical place and when we return to visit, we will look forward to staying at this place again. The sitting pool was perfect for a cooling recharge from a hot day of walking around. It made it easy for us to feel refreshed and venture back out.

Stayed Feb 16, 2026This was an absolute wonderful stay. The host was very attentive and checked in on us via messages several times. We gave a little tour of the house and the connected shared garden. As well as plenty of suggestions of things to do around town. He really went above and beyond. The neighborhood was nice and surprisingly quite for an urban area. The location was great. It was close to the St Roch Market which had several amazing food vendors.Definitely worth checking out.

Stayed Feb 13, 2026Tom was so welcoming and kind! I loved staying here. He was super responsive to messages before and during the trip. We came for Mardi Gras weekend and it was great having a place that was walking distance from everything we wanted to do. Street parking was free and readily available. The courtyard was absolutely stunning in such a great way to start our morning. The pool was also adorable and a great way to relax after walking all day. As far as cooking utensils go, the kitchen was super well stocked. We really didn’t need for anything. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to visit the French Quarter.

Stayed Jan 16, 2026The host was welcoming. A lot to figure out about the house - gas fireplace for heat and radiators. Not for people used to central heat/ac. 2 person max for occupancy-we were warned the couch was not comfortable and they are correct. No coffeeMate or little creamers for coffee. We did appreciate the cold waters.

Stayed Jul 31, 2025We enjoyed our stay here and easily walked to and from the French Quarter during our stay! The AC is two window units that are probably nearing the end of their lives but this wasn't a big deal. The pool is awesome and great for relaxing after your day out exploring. Hosts are awesome and answered any and all questions we had!

Stayed Jun 9, 2025Place was indeed on the cute side. However the entire place needs a TON OF TLC. Holes in wall, holes in window, giant sized bugs I think I found 7 of these creatures. Placed was full of dust. Owner states that there’s a cleaning service well all I can say is that they need ladders and glasses as witnessed by my pics. Shower head needs to be replaced, wall cabinets look like they are going to fall off the wall. Air conditioner in the bedroom needs to be replaced, also the sitting pool was very murky there was no way I was going to get in there. The faucets in bathroom sink need replacing, I could continue but believe me if we return to New Orleans it would NOT BE HERE.

Stayed Apr 15, 2025Overall our stay was fine.. however it doesn't say in the listing that this is a guest house, nor does it say that th courtyard is shared by 4 properties. The sitting pool wasn't available for use either. The overall cleanliness of the house could use some work.. it was surface clean but there was a thick layer of dust on all the windows, the fan and the AC units were caked on it. Could be why the AC was so incredibly loud in the bedroom that we had to buy ear plugs. We did kill one huge cockroach in the kitchen, but didn't spot anymore outside. However you could see them crawling in th courtyard Overall if you're not looking for fancy or privacy, it'll work.. we still enjoyed our time in Nola and the host was very pleasant at least.

Stayed Mar 27, 2025This stay was not up to par in terms of cleanliness. While I dont expect a VRBO rental to be hotel level clean, there are expectations which should always be met. Bathtub was dirty, pulled up the sheets on the bed and the mattress cover was covered in hair and what appeared to be rat droppings. Celing fan cocered in dust, had i turned it on dust would have flown everywhere. .. pillows were stained like they had never been washed before. . Microwave was dirty and had a sticky residue on the outside. We were not able to stay here due to the subpar level of cleanlinesa and had to find another option at the last minute in the area. . Host did not offer to fix issue or provide a refund. Dont atay here!

Stayed Mar 15, 2025This home was the best part of our stay in New Orleans! It was comfortable and cute, and the neighbor hood and shops were our favorites. We loved sitting in the courtyard and relaxing. Roch market was our favorite, and the salty pearl was our favorite dining experience! We got oysters and the seafood gumbo and both were phenomenal. The bloody Mary from the bar next to the oyster place was the best I've ever had. We also loved viewing the art at the spiritual center across the street. Beautiful, amazing, and inspirational!

Stayed Jan 30, 2025This location was very convenient for us with places like St. Roch Market, Honey’s and the Food Co-Op within easy walking distance. The only downside for us was crowd noise from the St. Roch Tavern, which kept us up at night a bit later than we would have preferred.

Stayed Jan 9, 2025This was my second time staying at this property. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. This is not your sterile bland new hotel style home. There is a beautiful courtyard full of tropical plants and 2 fountains. I came to escape winter in iowa, and brought my bike to get some exercise. The owners kindly let me keep it in a little shed. The house is an easy walk to spotted cat jazz bar, a great food market and right next door to Roch market,, with many dining options. Tom immediately helps out if something is missing or doesn’t work. Last time my husband was with me. This time I stayed by myself and felt perfectly comfortable walking around the neighborhood

Stayed Dec 14, 2024Home was as described, however it needed some cleaning and could use some upgrades. Owners were pleasant to deal with. Located in a bit of a rough looking neighborhood. Bar across the street means loud at night and train tracks near by mean noise in the morning! Bed was comfortable, but noise level meant not much sleep.

Stayed Dec 5, 2024We were not impressed with this property. It was dirty! The towels smelled like they had been left out wet. The sheets felt dirty. We had one roll of toilet paper and one roll of napkins for a four day stay. The bathtub was nasty. The tv in the room didn’t work and the WiFi never worked. It also had old style space heater and a fireplace with a pilot that smelt of gas and kept turning out. I would not stay again.
