With two living spaces, an attic games room and a large garden for your four-legged friends, this is a wonderful destination for both families and groups of adults to make special memories.

Exposed timber, stone and brick contrast with quality furnishings, statement lighting and gorgeous fabrics in this sophisticated getaway, which has low beams or ceilings in places and somesteps between rooms. Have fun in the sociable kitchen/diner putting together impressive meals, and enjoy them at the ten-seater dining table. After supper head either to the snug, with its sofas, Smart TV and log burner, or the more formal lounge which has a mahogany dresser and a writing desk. Also on the ground floor are a king-sized bedroom (twin on request) and a shower room, while the remaining four bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size (with a hidden en-suite shower room), two doubles and a twin room with a sloping ceiling. All have beautiful furnishings and interesting features. The family bathroom is an indulgent space with a free-standing slipper bath and separate rainwater shower. Cottage-style stairs lead to the attic, with bean bags and table football, and there’s another secret hideaway: from the hall a second set of steep steps leads to the cellar, perfect for leisurely socialising. Outside, there’s a garden with a lawn, plus raised decking with furniture for al fresco dining.

Halesworth is a historic market town with an excellent range of independent shops and places to eat and drink, as well as an art centre and a variety of interesting period buildings. It’s just 9 miles to charming Southwold, with its iconic lighthouse, beach, Edwardian pier and choice of shops, pubs and restaurants.
