Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sandy Ridge! The cottage, decor and grounds are adorable and charming. The cottage looks just like the photos and was SPOTLESS. It was, hands down, the cleanest and most well maintained cottage rental we have ever stayed in. We enjoyed the large deck, fires at the fire pit, the trails on the property and the pond. The kayaks, paddle boat, life jackets and floats were in great condition. There are a bunch of fun family games to play — the family friendly version of Cards Against Humanity was definitely the favorite with our 6, 9 and 10 year old boys! Yahtzee, Farkle, Chinese Checkers, Uno, Chess and tic-tac-toe provided a week full of night time entertainment and, this is big- the games had all of their pieces! There are also many adventures available within an hour or so. We traveled to the New Hampshire mountains and visited Santa’s Village. We traveled to Portland and took the Casco Bay Mail Boat run to the islands. Sebago Lake was absolutely beautiful. Hawk Mountain was an easy mountain climb and had great views. Grocery stores and restaurants are a short distance from the cottage. One thing to be aware of: The stairs going to the 2nd floor are steep and a bit wonky as far as varying step heights. It was not an issue for us and actually just added to the cottage charm. If someone has mobility issues, it could be a problem. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Thank you for sharing Sandy Ridge Family Cottage with us!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The host really has thought of your every need. The house was spotlessly clean. The waterfront was a short walk away through their own wooded property. The little beach was sandy and clean, the raft was great for lounging and jumping, and the SUPs were fun.

The Sandy Ridge cottage is an awesome place for a relaxing get away in the most peaceful setting. Allison goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome the second you walk thru the door. The cottage was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed plus more. Outside there is a nice deck as well as a campfire area with comfy Adirondack chairs to hang out under the pines. The lake was great and again they provided many fun things to enjoy the water. Allison was quick to respond to any questions. It’s obvious this cottage is well loved. Can’t wait to return. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!

Our family had the best time during a short weekend stay. The home has everything you could think of, and is a perfect place for families. The grounds are stunning. The kids loved exploring all the marked trails with toys to use along the paths. The walk to water is marked and the water itself is clear and clean!

I toook a long girls weekend with family and friends, the camp was very clean and comfortable. Allison the host had provided just about anything you could think of that you would need, from snacks to frosted mugs in the freezer. I had planned on making spaghetti sauce but had forgotten my crockpot, luckily she had one there. The beds were quite comfortable, which is always a plus, everyone in the group had wonderful time, and all agreed that they would stay there again. Thankyou Allison for all the little extrs.

This cottage stay was everything we'd hoped for and more. The pond and grounds are beautiful. Our two girls (3 and 7) enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The cottage itself is cozy, clean and well maintained. It provided our family of 4 with the perfect amount of space. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided us with information about the local area in advance. I wish we could have stayed for longer. I thoroughly recommend and hope we can return one day!

This is a lovely property for those that want to get away, have a camp like experience but with all the comforts of a well kept and modern home. The hosts were very welcoming, accommodating, and thoughtful about our families stay. The house is well maintained and feels modern and rustic all at the same time. The house is a great base camp for the lovely Green Pond. There was every water toy we needed, including a paddle boat that fit our whole family of five for a trip around the lake, but our favorites were the paddle boards. The lake is sandy and clean. In fact the water is so clear you can see the bottom from off the dock. Fishing was fun and there were some big bass, that showed interest even if we didn’t catch any. This home has everything we needed, it felt clean, warm and inviting. The property offered numerous trails and surprises, like a sand fort in the woods for the kids to play. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

This cabin was everything we wanted and more! Updated, cozy and spotless! The host has thought of everything, from cute cabin decor, extras you might have forgotten to pack, plus some local goodies for us to snack on. 85 degrees in mid July with no a/c, NO PROBLEM! This place is surrounded by tall pines to keep the house shaded plus multiple fans and many windows to open to cool the house. Easy access to the very clear, warm and quite pond across the road. My husband spent his days fishing. While my favorite afternoon spot was reading on the hammock. Very relaxing getaway! Thanks Allison and boys for sharing ur home with us!

Allison's home and property are really a hidden gem! The house was PERFECT for our family of four -- and the property and waterfront nearby were amazing. We caught a mix of rain and sun, but that didnt stop us from enjoying all the property had to offer. On the cooler days, we took to the trails, both on the property or nearby river walk(s). When the sun came out, we headed down to the pond, enjoying the clean water and perfect beach area. The beach area is so sandy and clean - perfect for our young kids. We could tell Allison has put so much thought into making this a wonderful experience for renters. Our kids (almost 5 and almost 2) had so much fun - they didn't want to leave! We would easily recommend this spot for young families and anyone who enjoys proper Maine lake life. Thanks for sharing your home and allowing our family to make great memories there.
