Stayed Aug 9, 2025We are regular visitors so we are always happy to return to Green Pond. We love the location since we are on the water (with available kayaks) and near the towns of Oxford, Norway and South Paris where you have access to restaurants, shopping, and micro-breweries. However, Portland and Freeport are only a hour away if you want to expand your visit. The pond is nestled within the trees away from town activity. It is a very relaxing and peaceful place. Two thumbs up for Eagle’s Nest!

Stayed Aug 17, 2024Beautiful cottage on clean pristine lake. Cottage has everything you need. Great location for day trips to mountains and ocean. Or just enjoy the lake, swimming, fishing or kayaking.

Stayed May 31, 2024The property itself is beautiful and serene! Larry and Carol’s kindness and hospitality made the stay that much more wonderful. Our children were able to make core memories with their cousins swimming in the lake, canoeing, and roasting marshmallows by the fire. Thank you both for a wonderful time!

Stayed Oct 20, 2023My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this very nice cabin on Green Pond. I highly recommend the Eagles Nest. The views of the pond and the morning sunrise were beautiful and the accommodations were very comfortable.

Stayed Oct 4, 2023We rented Carol’s cabin in Maine to attend a friend’s wedding. We loved how we were able to enjoy nature and also experience local amenities just a few miles down the road. Wonderful experience!

Stayed Sep 2, 2023The place is very beautiful, They had a lot of outdoor activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing access and swimming. Need your own fishing gear. The internet was non existent with no WiFi. Tv channels were non cable - just local. Only other outside entertainment we found was the casino. Property was pleasant with flowers, birds and landscaping. Perfect spot for getting away from the everyday stress. A great place for outdoor activities with pease and quiet.
