Stayed Sep 21, 2025Very clean and comfortable cottage. We stayed 1 week with our dog. Kitchen has everything needed to cook. Even has some basic spices provided!There is only 1 bathroom and it is on the main floor. There are 2 bdrms on the main floor and 2 bdrms upstairs. Upstairs bdrm: one has a TV but the mattress is very soft. The other has a firm mattress but no TV. Both have huge closets. Night time trips to the one and only bathroom downstairs were less than ideal going down a narrow staircase. Motion sensor lights in staircase would help.Beach chairs/towels/buggy all included.We spent all our days on beautiful beach which was mostly empty. A beach tent is essential due to winds. We had breakfast on outdoor deck every morning. We would have given the cottage 5 stars except for the ad description which says that the cottage is a 5-10 min. walk to beach. We disagree:road is unpaved/uneven, better to drive to beach. The ad also says that there is a queen size bed in one of the bedrooms on the main floor. That bed is smaller than queen size. Because of this small bed, we slept upstairs. The beach was very windy, a beach tent is highly recommended. All in all this is a very cozy, quiet, clean and private cottage. The neighbours came by to introduce themselves and were very friendly. Pride of ownership is visible in every delightfully decorated room. Lots of plush towels and TP in the bathroom. We would stay there again. The hosts were very responsive.
