Super good cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this absolutely gorgeous cottage. The garden is lovely and the spa in the back yard was the perfect way to finish the evening. Inside the house is a large kitchen with everything you need to cook. The house was spotless and tastefully decorated. Beds we comfortable. The cottage is walking distance to the gorge carpark and trails which is perfect if you were exploring the area. Only mistake we made was not staying long enough.

What a charming little cottage in a most picturesque spot. With 3 bedrooms it gave our family of four a comfortable, sweet home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen and laundry provides everything you need to be self sufficient. Aircon, wood fire & hot tub all catering for multiple weather conditions. Highly recommend.

House was cosy and quirky. Enjoyed the hot tub, decent sized towels and comfy beds.

It’s a lovely cottage with so much to discover. The host was very welcoming and allowed us to enter earlier.

This was a favorite space of everyone in my family! The indoor space was fantastic, and I loved the hot tub. The sun room! I just loved spending the rainy evening curled up in the sun room reading a book. My sons enjoyed the provided board games, everyone slept well, and we all loved the quirky fun decor. The host was super responsive and wonderful.

Location to walks great, everything you needed and the hot tub was fantastic

We loved the vintage decor and the cottage was super cute. There was a friendly cat that came to visit everyday which made my day too! We didn’t get to use the spa unfortunately because of the bad weather.

Spa pool didn't work the whole time we were there. And no compensation was offered. There was also possibly rats in the walls (sounded way too big for mice).Cottage was cute but to cluttered with trinkets - some where very dusty.

A uniquely decorated cottage, very comfortable and quiet. The owner provided a comprehensive folder of instructions for all devices. The hot tub was ready for use on our arrival. The Karangahake Gorge walkway is close by and although some of the tracks were closed, we enjoyed the walk through the tunnel and beside the river. Would happily stay again.

We had a lovely winter getaway for a couple of days, and especially enjoyed the enormous hot tub. The walks nearby are great, but please note that cafe listed as being 2 mins away no longer exists, so you do need to drive to get food or walk the 6km or so one way to the Waikino Tavern. The house is old, but well kept and clean except for a funky smell in the rear room. Overall we had a great time and would recommend to anyone :)

Another great few days, enjoyed the hot tub

Beautiful cottage, warm and clean and loved the old-worldly/heritage items/decor. Spa was so good after days of cycling. Waikino pub was also a hit.

Excellent stay, great communication, everything was as stated and the property is in a great location for the rail trail and walks.

The cottage was cute and decorated in an eclectic style. A mix of modern and vintage.The location was amazing being so close to all the nature walks and close to towns. It was a good weekend four our family with exploration, relaxation and family time.

A great location to stay on our trip cycling the Hauraki Rail Trail. Wonderful warm wood stove, and Greg was very helpful providing some transport for us at short notice.

Had a great stay in a house that had everything we needed. Very cute cottage and loved the lush backyard and kids especially loved the spa pool. Had a great time exploring the old mines before heading up north. Lovely host as well!

Charming cottage but very spacious ,with all the mod cons -exactly what we wanted. Would definitely stay there again.

Shhhhhhhhh! We want to keep this place a secret. This is our go-to place to stay when we want a quick escape from Auckland and all the noise. Perfect location for access to walk, Waihi and Paeroa 10 mins either way for conveniences.

Wonderful period cottage in a fascinating and historic area. Extremely comfortable home and a convenient location to explore the region. Loved the home feel. Very well outfitted. Highly recommend.

A gorgeous cottage with everything we needed. Close to Hauraki Cycle trail which we did as day trips. Lovely hot tub to soak in and washing machine with a small sunporch- great for drying clothes even with the odd showers. The garden and plants are exquisite and you can walk across the road to the Karangahake gorge.

So tranquil and beautiful. Listening to all the birds while soaking in the hot tub is just what we needed.
