2BR Coastal Cottage w/ Private Courtyard + Close to Beaches| Coconut Cottage

We loved this property and the community! Very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We took advantage of the pools and beach, and the swings on the front porch. Located close to all restaurants! The bikes were also a wonderful touch. We rode them around the community, and watched the firework show on them! Only complaint is we wish we could’ve stayed longer. Would love to return for our next trip.

This was our second stay at Coconut Cottage, with our first visit about five years ago leaving a great impression. Unfortunately, this time we noticed the property has declined in condition. Upon arrival, we encountered several large cockroaches in multiple rooms due to the recent exterminator visit. The home now shows signs of needing maintenance—porch steps and doors could use fresh paint, the front gate is difficult to operate, and the hall bathroom had issues with towel racks and a poorly draining tub. While we understand that age affects any property, for the current rental rate, we expected a better-maintained experience. The rental is very cute, but as I said, could use definite TLC.

Reviewer Comments: My grand daughter requested to go here for her 16th birthday she always came to Destin with my wife and I but we lost her 4 months ago at only 58, it's been difficult because she was our earthly rock, but we love the privacy and easy to get to everywhere, we normally stay farther out but think we will stay here more now. Thank you guys so much.

Our rental house (Coconut Cottage) was a dream; clean, spacious, cozy, beautiful, and in a great location...away from all the tourist noise.. The host was also in contact with us to ensure our needs were met. Wonderful vacation, we’ll be back.

We can't wait to do it again.The Coconut Cottage was perfect for the 4 of us who stayed there. The lovely porch was our haven for morning prayer and coffee as well as evening chats. The back yard is precious. We only have 1 suggestion. We needed a place to put our clothes in the King Room. We had to keep our clothes in our suitcases.
