The starfish Cottage is close enough to walk to the water, or Main Street and the Peir. The owners are so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Don't worry about hauling chairs and umbrellas for the beach. This place has you covered.

Great little place to stay! We've been to Seal Beach several times and we loved our location. Beach, restaurants, stores, and breakfast spots are all a short walk

We love visiting Seal Beach for family and the walkable beach/coffee/food. This was a great spot to stay and the hosts super great with prep and communication throughout. Very cute patio (shared with the larger house but we were the only ones here for the week) and great to be able to park the rental car in the garage off the street. Would definitely stay here again. (My apologies for the late review!) I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Starfish Cottage! Kye and Elena are true Superhosts who are very communicative, helpful, and kind. They don't have a ton of outrageous rules like some properties I have seen listed, either. The cottage itself is cute, clean, and in a great location. (It felt like my private apartment!) During my stay I was able to walk to the beach in 5 minutes, or the grocery store in 10. A lot of restaurants were also walkable in the same time frames. Overall I had an awesome time, I would recommend this property to anyone traveling alone or with a couple people. Kye was also nice enough to show me the other Starfish property (looks great!) and I would love to bring my family along there one day! If not, I would love to visit Starfish Cottage again. Thank you Kye and Elena!

This property is very neat and well-maintained. It is a short walk to Seal Beach and local eateries. It has quite a pleasant peaceful atmosphere.

Amazing location blocks from the beach. Very walkable area to beach, pier, restaurants and shops. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and look forward to returning.

Kye was at the cottage to greet us upon our arrival and was extremely helpful indoctrinating us to its amenities as well as those of businesses and activities nearby.While we were only a short 15 miles from our home, we truly felt we had gotten away to a fabulous vacation spot. The neighbors we met on our morning and afternoon walks were extremely friendly and the beach living atmosphere was in full splendor.We fully intend to make return trips back to the Starfish Cottage in the future.Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We had an excellent experience at Kye’s Starfish cottage. The place is charming with good amenities for a short stay. Kye met us personally upon arrival to render in person orientation - it was a nice touch. He gave us recommendations for food including ice cream place and gave us coupons . Kye was very responsive. He repaired the hot water issue instantly. He has a 2 bedroom unit in front of the cottage. We will highly consider coming back to Kye’s place with the rest of our family. It is only 5-7 min walk to the beach. A perfect beach staycation place. Wayne and Glenda bday girl.

Our stay was fantastic and Kye and Elena were very attentive and helpful hosts! At a quick pace the beach was literally a three minute walk in a great neighborhood! We plan on staying again when daughter #2 heads out for college!

We had a very relaxing couple of days at the Starfish cottage and would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Seal Beach. The house is very charming and clearly well-maintained. We really liked the location as we could take easy walks to the beach, the Pier, or to Main Street for shopping and dining. Having the garage is a big plus as we did not have to worry about finding parking on the street. Kye met us on arrival to give us access codes and to show us around the house which we really appreciated!

A wonderful weekend get away all around! Starfish Cottage is was the perfect place for the two of us. Elena & Kye are great hosts, we got a personal welcome from Elena and Kye was quick to respond via text as we were enroute. Their printed instructions are clear and easy to follow we felt very much at home. The cottage is so cozy and cute (my wife made me say that) everything we needed or would want was there for us. It's a very short walk to the big, clean and at this time of year uncrowded beach. The cottage has beach ware, chairs, umbrellas and towels to use. It's also a short (for us) four block walk to Main street where you will find shopping and bars/restaurants almost all locally owned and operated HUGE plus in our book. We did not have a car and didn't feel like we needed to go anywhere else for dining/entertainment. Check out is a breeze too, again instructions are simple and not onerous. Just a few tasks that any good guest would do anywhere. We loved our stay in Seal Beach at Starfish Cottage and it's on our do again list.

Great location!! 5 minute walk to beach, shops, dining! Property was perfect size for a couples getaway. Had a Spectrum issue but was resolved quickly by owner and he even brought a bigger TV !! Very cozy setting, nice outdoor sitting area. We stayed in the back cottage and didn’t have any issues with the other guest in front cottage. Shared garage but we didn’t bring a car ( used Uber ) which was great! Highly recommend!!DanielNorth Carolina

My wife and I recently spent our anniversary in Seal Beach, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations.The property was immaculately clean—spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly welcoming. We felt right at home the moment we walked in.Our host was exceptional—proactive, responsive, and thorough in every communication. From check-in to check-out, they made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s rare to find a host who is this thoughtful and on top of every detail.The location was absolutely ideal. Just a short, pleasant walk to the beach, and surrounded by a wide variety of outstanding restaurants and local shops. We loved being able to stroll along Main Street and enjoy the laid-back charm of Seal Beach—whether grabbing coffee in the morning or dinner as the sun set.We had an outstanding time and made some truly special memories. This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary, and we’re already planning our return trip. Highly, highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place to visit and the cherry on top is the Starfish Cottage. The atmosphere and comfort of the cottage made our vacation our best trip yet. The beach was just steps away. They have a spot to rinse off and beach towels for comfort. The hosts also have all the lowdown on the hot spots for food, shopping, surfing, and travel. We will be returning.

Everything about the Starfish cottage is satisfying. The location is a 3 minute walk to the beach. The communication with the host was thorough and clear explaining the check in/check out process, amenities, and options for food/drink/activities in Seal Beach. Highly recommend.

The cottage was very clean. Owners were very helpful with checking in. The cottage is a very short walk to the beach (3 min) and downtown Seal Beach is a 7-9 minute walk to access restaurants and shops.

My stay at the Starfish Cottage was exceptional. The managers were both kind and generous with their time. I asked for a few modifications, and they enthusiastically worked with me. When I met Kei, he personalized my stay, which made it very memorable since it was over the Christmas holidays. The lodging was both comfortable and relaxing. I regretted not booking more days!!

We had a great stay. The hosts contacted us ahead of time to let us know a neighboring property was in the middle of termite extermination and offered to move us to another unit to get away from the noise. Great customer service. The unit we stayed in was cute, quiet and comfortable. We highly recommend the hosts and property.

My wife and I had an incredible stay at this property from Nov 15-18, 2024. Kye meet us on arrival and talked us through everything while also providing all kinds of tips on local restaurants and activities. He also let us know about the Ride Circuit app where we can call local transportation to take us around Seal Beach for only $2 per person per ride. Very convenient. It was incredibly clean and absolutely silent at night. The gas fireplace was wonderful and cozy in the chilly evenings and mornings. I would definitely recommend this property and we will be coming back again and again for future Seal Beach stays!
