Stayed Dec 31, 1969I have never written a review for anything in my life but felt compelled to do so for this property. The stay at this location was by far the worst experience my partner and I have ever had. The place was filthy upon arrival. Dog hair everywhere, numerous spiders and spiderwebs in every room, hair and mold in the showers, debris on the floors, and food on the plates and silverware. It also smelled awful, so we bought some candles. Aside from the lack of cleaning, it’s clear the property has had little to no maintenance over the past years and simply looks grimy and battered. Although the property owner was very responsive (and to her credit, refunded the cleaning fee), she actually laughed at me when I told it was dirty, and then acknowledged it was inappropriate for her to laugh. It’s noteworthy that the photos do not accurately represent the condition of the house, nor the furniture used in the rooms and kitchen. The twin beds were the worst beds and pillows we have ever slept in. They were so bad that my partner (who is young and healthy) developed cervicalgia and had to be taken to Sea Pines Immediate Care for a steroid shot, a week worth of steroid pills, and 2 PT sessions at Benchmark PT (who were wonderful by the way). Overall, do not stay here. It’s not worth it, you have a lot of options in the area.

Stayed Apr 25, 2026We had a wonderful stay in this home! Very clean, welcoming and comfortable, and the location is perfect--so close to everything! We enjoyed the decor and the Hilton Head touches, and being all on one floor is a big plus we appreciate. The home is very pet friendly, and so is the whole neighborhood-very peaceful with no traffic-perfect for walking and walking your pets. It rained the entire week we were there, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the great local restaurants and sightseeing. We spent a lot of time in the huge living area. Even with the rain, so much light and nature could be enjoyed with all the glass sliders and large windows. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was generously equipped to do so and had great appliances. We travel with most of our own supplies, but the house was well supplied with very nice paper products, detergents, linens and some lovely boutique style toiletries. Having a full-size washer/dryer that was EASY TO OPERATE was a real plus! Donna was always readily accessible and very pleasant throughout our booking process (we had no issues while there), and we thank you for hosting us!!

Stayed Jan 17, 2026A perfect fit for our family needs. Very comfortable and dog friendly. Uniquely decorated for owners taste inside and out. Lots of dogs and people walking them. Many streets inside are walking range from the house didn’t have sidewalks and lots of car traffic. Further south are abundant walking, biking etc. our weather was beyond awful, could and even snow. The house didn’t handle the cold weather well. Master bedroom and bath were often chilly. Not the owners fault. Owner was very engaged and good communication. Our third winter to HH, each progressively colder. We will not return again in winter. Not a reflection on the owner. I didn’t understand that you cannot refuse to buy damage insurance period. Missed the fine print when signing up and we stayed over five weeks and it was over 1,200

Stayed Dec 24, 2025This was a wonderful place - the house was lovely - there is so much space both inside and outside to relax and enjoy beautiful Sea Pines in Hilton Head! The living area is open and welcoming with plenty of seating, and the pictures don't do the deck justice - there's basically a large wraparound deck (so it's like having two decks - one on each side of the house), plus a fenced in yard that provided privacy and a lot of extra space to enjoy. The owner was both communicative and incredibly nice, the place itself was immaculate, and the owner added special touches like cute bags of toiletries, washer detergent, and even a welcome note with a little holiday candy gift. We brought our dogs and it was great for them too - near walking trails plus the fenced in yard was very handy. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Jul 18, 2024Just what we needed for a long weekend getaway. Very nice property and conveniently located to dining just outside of Sea Pines. Also…great communication from owner and especially thankful in finding and mailing an item we had left behind.

Stayed Jun 19, 2024It was a good experience. Check in was a little unorthodox but everything worked out. It is a great house. A little older with the actual feel of a well loved southern beach home. It had a lot of character and it told a real story of the people that own and love the house. If walls could talk I bet it would have some wonderful stories to tell. Really happy it was the house we chose.
