We stayed here as a family of three, 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 small dogs. There is plenty of room in what I would describe as a cosy cottage. The cottage is full of character and retains lovely features. We found the cottage warm and comfortable. The garden area is very dog friendly, easy to keep clean and very secure. It was a great base to stay for 4 nights and a much needed welcome break from our pub life. We got lucky with the weather, too! We look forward to returning sometime next year. Thank you for the gifts for every guest 👨‍👩‍👦 🐾

Lovely cosy little cottage about a 10 minute stroll from the centre of Grasmere with fabulous walks right on the doorstep. Our working cocker spaniel loved it too

A lovely cottage ideally located. Great base for walking the dogs as many footpaths near. Interior décor very tastefully done.

Having been to Grasmere since I was a child I have stayed in many cottages and hotels in Grasmere. The Stables was one of the best. We had a wonderful time. It is a very comfortable well equipped cottage. Everything possible has been done to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The added surprise of welcome gifts, even something for our dog was a really nice touch. Would definitely return.

Last year we enjoyed our stay at Grange End - Coach House and now have equally enjoyed our stay at Grange End - The Stables. We love Grasmere and The Stables is ideally located to explore the breath taking and majestic scenery. The only possible downside is the unreliable internet - we didn't really have a problem with this but some might. We were 3 days without TV - finally we managed to contact the occupants of the adjoining cottage where the router is located and they very kindly rebooted it for us. However, going forward I don't think bothering the neighbours is an ideal solution.

This is the third time we have used a cottage from this company and the best experience to date. The location was perfect for 'access all areas' walking in the lakes and the village had everything you could need, although northern beer is not as tasty as southern beer! The cottage was equipped adequately and would only be improved with a proper log burner, oh and a stair gate to prevent the hounds from venturing upstairs. The bed was so comfy... All the little extras for the dogs and the welcome prosecco were greatly appreciated. If there was any complaint, it would be the internet connection and given that the TV relies on it also this was disappointing - instead of sharing a router with the adjoining property it ought to have its own. Nonetheless a fab place to stay and would thoroughly recommend it. We would return happily.
