Frankfort, Michigan
This 5-bedroom cottage has all the charm of a 1920's cottage, with all modern conveniences. Enjoy morning coffee on the lakeside deck or screened porch; swim at your own private beach; barbeue dinner on the deck; have a campfire in fire pit in the evening. This cottage has everything you could want for that "up north" experience. The separate Boat House sleeps 4 and has its own private bath. The kitchen was updated in 2010 with state-of-the-art appliances and a dining room addition. A full bath was added in 2012.
This cottage is located on the prestigious south shore of Crystal Lake, half way between the Village of Beulah and the City of Frankfort. Both Frankfort and Beulah have shops and places to enjoy lunch. Frankfort boasts many fine restaurants and has a newly restored movie theater. End your day with an ice cream cone and walk to the Lake Michigan beach to watch the sunset.
Overall, a great experience. Perfect for our family. We thought the kitchen was well stocked & nicely updated and we loved the screened-in porch. Bathroom facilities were adequate but no tub for our small granddaughter. AWESOME private beach with a great shallow entry for all. Wonderful location, an easy drive to loads of local attractions, restaurants and breweries. We also appreciated and took full advantage of the beach house, kayaks and other amenities. Beautiful setting with breathtaking view of Crystal Lake. Adding “pet-friendly” to the property would only make the experience better for us. Suggested improvements: adding WiFi and TV signal to the beach house, finish improving the bathroom between kitchen and bedroom, several beach chairs were broken and need to be replaced.
This house is perfect for a week on Crystal Lake and larger than expected. The property is beautiful and private and the neighbors and the property managers are all very friendly and helpful. Fantastic location, beautiful views, sandy beach, and clean and comfortable house. Sunrise/moonrise over the lake. We couldn’t have asked for anything else.
