Stayed Oct 30, 2025Positive: The location is very secluded which is what we wanted for a spooky Halloween weekend getaway. There is little to no noise. It was very peaceful. There are trails on the property that you can walk along to enjoy the outdoors and wildlife. We spotted a lot of deer on the property which was awesome. It is also a very short drive to Devil's Lake, Baraboo, and Wisconsin Dells. The house/barn itself had all the amenities we needed. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, and the TV worked perfectly (we brought a bunch of movies). We had no cell or internet service which is what we wanted. Negative: There was a mouse in the house. I understand we are out in the country and things happen (There were a lot of Japanese beetles (?) that I was prepared to deal with). However, the mouse was an unexpected and unpleasant surprise. He only came out at night, and unfortunately spent a lot of time roaming on top of the kitchen countertops leaving mouse droppings everywhere. We wiped down the kitchen every morning, but we didn't feel comfortable using it to make food or use any of the utensils provided. We also had to vacuum up the couch/futon every morning as it was clear he had been on it throughout the night too. Overall, the location is as described. We enjoyed our stay but would have preferred one less furry roommate.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Beautiful and secluded location in an old farmhouse. Close enough to the Dells to make it convenient, far enough away to avoid road noise and other people. As it is an old farmhouse, there are critters in the roof and on the grounds, but given the choice between sharing a farmhouse with shy rodents and sharing a hotel floor with other people's wet children, I will take the rodents. Beds and bath were clean and comfortable.

Stayed Jul 18, 2024A really cool converted building on a property with beautiful views. Perfect for a nice getaway/weekend away. The pictures are true to space -- it's a fun spot with a nice kitchen, comfortable couch/futon for watching movies (the wifi was not the best, but there are DVDs at the location or you can bring your own), and the beds were comfortable. It's nice that there are two bedrooms (you do have to walk through one get to the other as an FYI, not a detraction) We had coffee and read on the deck each morning and evening and the weather and the view were perfect. It's an easy drive to Devils Lake for hikes and within easy driving distance to a winery, grocery store (we picked up food to make, too) and the state park. It's a rural location so we didn't have cell reception much and the wifi was spottier than expected (even rebooting didn't help for long) which we knew would be the case, but I recommend a router update might be needed and use the search/offline maps when you do have service.

Stayed Jul 11, 2024We enjoyed the peaceful, tranquil setting. The mowed paths were appreciated to do a bit of exploring. The house if very cozy and is amazing how you tranformed a barn style into a super cute place to stay!! Glad we brought mosquito spray. We enjoyed the grill too.

Stayed May 17, 2024Views are great with a cozy space. It was perfect for our needs. Wifi was not great though. If we had access to steam music or look up restaurants from our rental, it would have been great!

Stayed Mar 29, 2024The cabin was nice in terms of furniture and suit our needs as three adults well. It was quiet, and we had easy access to Devil's Lake and downtown Baraboo. However, when we went this property was having an issue with Japanese ladybugs, and we had to frequently vacuum up dozens of ladybugs ourselves. We were not sure where they were coming in from or if perhaps there were eggs in the cabin. The wifi was also not reliable and frequently dropped, which can be an issue if you don't have cell service in the area and need access to the internet.
