Curlew Cottage is a great property for that romantic break, and is complete with a wood-burning stove and roll-top bath.. Set on a working arable and cattle farm, within the owner’s 2000-acre estate in the Vale of Strathmore, these four welcoming and spacious holiday cottages have been restored to a very high standard. The most recent addition to the collection, Kingfisher Cottage (UK38211) is a renovated, detached, single-storey luxury cottage, tucked way down a farm track. With two stylish bedrooms and beautiful quality furnishings throughout, the high ceilinged open plan living room/kitchen features an eyecatching wood burner flanked by full length picture windows, making the most of the view for the ultimate relaxing experience. Islabank Farmhouse (ref SAAP) is a traditional, characterful, comfortable farmhouse which is ideal for families. Curlew Cottage (ref SYYJ) is a charming, beautifully converted, detached, single-storey property and a haven for wildlife with red squirrels visiting the garden daily. Still part of the farm but located 4 miles away is Osprey Cottage (ref UZQ), a delightful, light and sunny, single-storey detached cottage.

Set amongst beautiful farmland and fruit-growing country, they make an excellent choice for relaxing breaks in the heart of rural Perthshire. The estate makes an ideal base for exploring central Scotland, Edinburgh, Perth, St Andrews and the Highlands. Glamis Castle is a few miles away. Outdoor activities (golf, skiing, fishing, riding, cycling) are readily available. Shops and pub 3 miles.

Kingfisher Cottage (UK38211), Islabank Farmhouse (SAAP), Curlew Cottage (SYYJ) and Osprey Cottage (UZQ, 4 miles away) can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests.. 5 steps to entrance.

This was our third stay at one of Strathisla Farm's cottages, and as usual it was fabulous. A well laid out, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable cottage with everything you could possibly need. It was so quiet, no road noise at all. One of the best things was being able to walk out of the back garden gate straight into the woods for a one hour walk with our dog allow a river and across fields. A great area for exploring, peaceful but near enough to shops etc you don't feel isolated. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

We had a great stay for a 1 week in August with our 1 year old black lab. Beautiful property with everything you could need, really nice quality furnishings and beautiful garden with a great walk with a burn at the bottom of the garden. Really peaceful and although the owners checked on us to make sure all was fine via text they were never intrusive but on hand should they be needed. Thanks again, loved our stay!

From start to finish we loved staying at Curlew cottage. It has been fitted out to the highest standards and was so warm and comfortable. The icing on the cake was the garden for our 2 chocolate labs - they loved it, and it was 100% escape proof! It was also brilliant to see the red squirrels visit during the day as well as many birds including woodpeckers. There were good walks from the front door, though this is such a great county for getting out and about in beautiful glens and forests. We were a little disappointed not to meet our host Katie, but understand because of the current situation - the welcome strawberries, wine and flowers were very much appreciated. We will certainly be booking again at some point. This cottage & location was everything we could have asked for. Lots of thought put into all aspects of the accomodation & great access to walks for our dogs who didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.
