For the comfort of future guests, we would ask that if you smoke, please do so outside.
Todd was very prompt to answer all our questions. Property was very clean. We had a very relaxing long weekend. Really enjoyed our stay.
The listing gives a misrepresentation of it being a waterfront when in truth it is a waterfront PROPERTY to which this unit was on the far end away from the water. We love to awaken to seeing the lake through the window. The care of the property is dirty even though the owner states that his professional cleaner services it in between guests. If there were a place to post pictures I would post the uncleanliness: 1. Old, black mold and mildew around the edges of the shower 2. Literally took 10 steps in light gray socks on the carpet, and the bottom of them was covered in black dirt 3. tiles broken off in the bathroom, 4. Dishes were not clean. In addition, the owner lives at White Lake, and then takes the unit showcased on VRBO for himself, his husband, and family. Also hogged up two spaces for docking boats so that if guests had brought their boat (which we were considering), it would have to dock using an anchor. They used the boat once for about 40 minutes during our four day stay. Hogging the space. The owner also had his family of five or six congregate with chairs and snacks LITERALLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE ONLY LADDER FOR GUESTS TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE WATER! There was a LOT of space on the pier. Why settle right there?!?! Pompous without a cause to back it up. In the midst of a parade, the owner also made sure to have his presence known by talking abou personal business with one of the drivers of the float. Lastly, Todd had the nerve to bring some man to our door and ask if he could come in to check on something during OUR STAY!!!! It was either to check up on us, OR legitiametly showed this guy something for maintenance??? Either way, it should not have to be asked during the stay of a guest. Invasion of privacy, mistrust, or whatever else. It did not go unnoticed. The owner thinks muuuucchh higher of himself and his status than he ought to. We are financially blessed, and flaunting what little one has is a huge turn off for many. A the very least, if you are going to be that way, maintain your unit for rent up to par. Thankful that we found a wonderful lakefront condo to rent as a vacation home from here on out when we visit our NC family members. Lastly, their unit is over priced in comparison to other much cleaner places. I do hope they take this mostly as corrective and make some changes in the cleanliness, and less hogging of the best spots for themselves. Signs of a bad host.
One major problem, the Ski Burgers restaurant across the street had Trump sticker/flag and a proud boy flag hanging right by the front door. I witnessed them not providing service to two different families of color. This needs to change.
Great Vacation
Had a great time, it had been about 4 years since we visited White Lake. Had a great time! Todd and Justin super nice guys! Enjoyed talking with them.
Wasn't sure where to check in when we arrived. Once we finally got checked in and we opened up the unit smelled musty and wasn't what our family would consider very clean. However there was adequate parking. It was great to have a closet for storage for our water toys and floats. The beach and dock/pier was nice. We enjoyed morning and evening walks out to the pier taking in the views from the swings! All in all we had a good time!
