Stayed Oct 24, 2025Pros: nice view, quick walk to ferry for Mackinac Island, amazing water pressure. Cons: Couldn’t actually get into the space until 2.5 hours after check in time. Key wasn’t in lockbox because owner claimed they didn’t know we were coming. We then only had one working outlet in the entire place. Was not very clean. Brown stains on most towels. Fingernails were found in sheets. Noise from restaurant was pretty loud, went far into the night. Entry is through a “mudroom” that isn’t locked from the outside. Anyone could enter and then look into the front door of the apartment which did not have any blinds or curtains. Exposed duct pipes were covered up by an empty laundry basket sitting in front of it. Not worth the money we spent.

Stayed Oct 3, 2025We loved the location as we used the St. Ignace ferry to the island. Comfortable beds and nice TV. View from the living room was fantastic to watch Lake Huron activities. The hot dogs were gourmet and delicious in the restaurant below. Perfect snack at night.

Stayed Sep 6, 2025A unique property in an excellent location with a fantastic view of Lake Huron. Walkable to many stores, restaurants and close to the ferry dock. There are no smells from the restaurant below and no noise at all in the front room. There was minimal music from the restaurant that could be heard in the bedrooms and kitchen, but once they closed, this was one of the quietest places I have stayed in. Perfect for us and our small dog!

Stayed Aug 4, 2025When we opened to door we were greeted with the most horrific smell - a combination of dog feces and rotten eggs! We immediately went across the street to get air fresheners and candles. Every time we walked in we had to spray like crazy to cover the stench. The air conditioners (one in kitchen and one in living room) did not help with the stuffy bedrooms! One of the twin beds had a very thin mattress and one could feel the wooden slats right through it - had to put down big beach towels to make it bearable. The vinyl flooring was coming up in spots…The one good thing was the location - it truly is walkable and we enjoyed that. This certainly was not worth the money we spent!

Stayed Jun 30, 2025A fabulous time, this property is perfect for exploring the area. Town is really cute with some fun spots for evenings out. Close to the island, hiking, water, sports, etc. The apartment was perfect for our family, the beds were super comfortable and the view out of the front room is just beautiful to sit and have your morning coffee. You do not hear any sounds or smell any food from the hotdog store below and our teens loved running down to grab lunch/dinner. We needed to do laundry and there isn’t a washing machine, but the laundromat is across the street and they are super friendly. Although the bathroom is on the small side, the shower is really nice. The kitchen has all the crockery you need, if you plan on doing a lot of cooking there aren’t too many pots, but it was enough for our family for some basic meals. Communication was excellent, we needed some more towels and the owner responded immediately, next day we had more towels. All in all, I would totally recommend and would come back to this place..

Stayed Jun 26, 2025This was in a a jce locations right downtown above a business, however upon arrival I noticed that all the floors(laminate or a hardwood type) had dog or cat hair lining up and down the hallway. I noticed it was pet friendly on the site however I didn't expect it to be like this. I don't take my shoes off the whole weekend. The beds are definitely dated and when taking off linens for the departure we noticed several pillows were dingy and yellow. The ceiling fan is also disgusting (needs to be cleaned but probably buodated) I noticed another reviewer mentioned the fan as well, they do keep a huge box fan right outside for that reason I asume. Again it's a great location however it needs to be attended to a little more by the owner.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025This was the perfect stay for my visit. I ended up visiting Tahquamenon Falls on Saturday and Pictured Rocks on Sunday for the weekend I stayed, and this place in St. Ignace was a great hub to come back to after each of those day trips. This place is super close to Mackinac Island ferry access, so anyone looking to stay near the Island, this is a great spot to do so. Apartment as described with a beautiful view of the sunrise in the mornings. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay in the U.P., regardless of the trip itinerary!

Stayed Aug 23, 2024Property was perfect for our family of 4. It was described as it was. We had no issues except a smell from the bathroom pipes. Bed in second room was awkward so my son slept on couch (he is 6'2) and it was just a little uncomfortable for him. The hot dog joint under was great and we never had issues with that, as a matter of fact, they were very kind and knew we were there. We were pleasantly surprised at the air conditioners as we were not expecting them. Kept us comfortable. Location is key here! Walk to ferry, restaurant, lake, and shops. Quaint and cute. Appreciate the hospitality.

Stayed Aug 15, 2024We enjoyed our stay. Close walk to Shepler’s Ferry. Enjoyed Bouys restaurant and the Wild Blueberry. The fireworks every Saturday night in St. Ignace were visible from living room which was awesome to see. Dusty’s Dogs restaurant below was great food!! Only con was the short twin in the bedroom was very thin and uncomfortable. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch which was more comfortable.

Stayed Aug 12, 2024Pros: very walkable. Right downtown. View of the sunrise over Dollar General was gorgeous. Big apartment with comfy beds. Kitchen and bath serviceable. Portable air conditioners get the job done. Cons: Upon entering the apartment we found a burning candle that set off some alarms in my brain. Who leaves a burning candle in an empty apartment? What are they trying to mask or hide? The fans were great and much needed to air out the place but were filthy. I did my best to clean them up. It was super musty at first but we blew out that nasty candle and opened all the windows we could, we cranked the fans and it cleared out in a couple hours. . Hand soap would have been nice. And extra kitchen towels. Overall it was perfect for a St Ignace visit.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024I liked this place. It was conveniently located, near the ferry, shops and restaurants. It was equipped with the necessities and was clean. The view was wonderful, and we got to watch a drone show and fireworks all from the comforts of the living room. There are a couple of things to note, the temperature in the unit, was 86 degrees when we checked in. Even though there are 2 portable AC units, it took all night to cool off with fans strategically placed. The blinds on the front windows are helpful, but other insulating blinds on the other windows might help too, instead of the shear curtains. The couch is different than what's in the picture, which was clean and comfortable. The other chairs are a nice touch, but not overly comfortable. Overall, the place could use a little touch up on things, nothing that a handyman couldn't take care of. If we happen to be passing through again, I would stay there. It was a good home base to work out of, as we went to the island every day, and a comfortable bed to sleep in at night.
