Stayed Mar 16, 2025This was our sixth visit to the area - our second time staying in The Indies. We love this community and now it's the only beach we ever visit. The property was very nice and I would stay here again. The AC/heater was out when we arrived - severe storms and high winds had gone through the area the night before, and it appeared that the power had gone out at some point before we arrived. Vacasa was quick to respond and willing to get a tech out to look at it the next day (which we didn't need taken care of right away as the weather was perfect to where we didn't need AC or heat). They could use a few more pots and pans, but otherwise have everything you need if you're going to cook and eat your meals in the condo. Sassy Bass Market is close if you need anything and don't want to run all the way back to Gulf Shores to shop, but the supply is limited and a little more pricey. Unfortunately the pool, hot tub and top level were closed the first 3 days of our 5 day visit -- I wish that had been communicated to us prior to our arrival. Whether you visit in March or July, the beach is never crowded and truly feels like a private beach. The area is generally quiet and very family oriented.
