We really enjoyed the location (ocean sounds), comfy beds, and nice clean rooms. I was able to walk miles on the beach and enjoy the wildlife. Hosts were available and responsive to questions about local sites to see.

The kitchen was fully stocked for sure! Tons of blankets too! This is a solid spot for a family at the beach. Lots of games and beach toys for everyone. I'll be staying here again.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful beachfront home! We were greeted by the host upon arrival and shown around! The house was immaculate and the view and sound of the ocean from the covered porch was our favorite spot. The house was very well stocked with kitchen items, coolers, and sand toys! We will definitely be back!

The space was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed. The location was amazing for daily walks on the beach and listening to the surf. We had six adults in our group and had plenty of room. We would stay here again.

This home was just perfect for our stay in Carolina Beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could ever need and the sitting room was spacious and very comfortable. Comfortable and well decorated bedrooms and 2 full baths were just perfect.Outside areas were spacious with plentiful seating.We will return!!!

The host welcomed us when we got there and gave us a little tour. They even allowed us to check in early. Perfect spot for a relaxing beach getaway. Would definitely recommend and book again.

Our hosts were really great. Communication was awesome, the house was cozy and clean! They really had everything we needed for a big family thanksgiving weekend and I knew if we needed anything they were so easy to reach.

We were welcomed by our host as soon as we arrived. She took us on a tour of the comfortable home and we felt, well, right at home immediately. Access to the beach was great...our own private walkway. We cooked many of our meals at home and had all the pots, pans and other kitchen amenities that we needed. In fact, we really enjoyed working in the bright and cheerful kitchen. We loved our beach home and look forward to returning in the future.

Prime location with the ocean literally at the bottom of your steps! The porch was a beautiful gathering place for our Women’s Prayer Group! Clean and spacious for our group to gather for our sessions yet provided some areas for private reflection and reading. I loved the air flow through the house from the ocean as we opened windows. Genevieve and Duane were wonderful hosts and so accommodating. Beds were comfortable.

To start..our host met us outside when we arrived. She gave us a tour of the home showing where everything was. The house was perfect. We had a wonderful restful time. We could not have asked for a better place. Host are very responsive to text and questions.

Almost Hurricane caused huge beautiful waves

The location is excellent—just steps from the dunes with the sound of the ocean right outside. Extras like coolers, beach toys, and boogie boards were appreciated.However, there were major downsides. Privacy is not as advertised. The owners live above the unit and sometimes stay next door. It was obvious we were being watched, and the kitchen windows have no blinds, which did not feel accidental.EV charging was a serious issue. The listing and rule book never mention it being prohibited. I plugged my Tesla into a 15-amp outdoor outlet, but the owner unplugged it almost immediately. In doing so, they looped the prongs of my charger around the handle, which appears to have scratched my car. This was invasive—if concerned, they could have tripped the breaker instead of handling my property.The unit also has safety concerns. The electrical system is outdated, with many ungrounded outlets. I had to buy a grounded extension cord just to charge my laptop safely. Every room had light 16–18 gauge cords in place of outlets, which is a fire hazard. The floors are uneven, the refrigerator doesn’t seal without a hard push (risking food spoilage), and one bedframe was zip-tied together.Finally, notes in the unit pressure guests to leave only 5-star reviews. While the location is great, the lack of privacy, intrusive owner behavior, and multiple safety issues made this stay disappointing.

This place was a great spot for the family. Genevieve and Duane were super easy to contact if needed. They stay in the apt upstairs and are super reachable! And the downstairs can be rented out in two different apts. This place has everything you could need!

Great house, location and hosts! Will be back the next chance we get. The location was good and the house was comfortable, clean and we enjoyed being on the water and sitting on the deck.

The location was beautiful but unfortunately my fiance and daughter woke with bites. Didn't think much of it but checked the beds any way and found a insect. The owner assured me it is wasn't a bed bug. I took a video and picture of the insect. In my opinion it very much looked like a bed bug. Small red bug and the next day my daughters neck was covered in bites. The location and home were beautiful but we will not be returning due to this. My little girl tossed and turned all night and I hadn't even thought of the possibility of her getting bit by bugs the owners were responsive and offered to have the place sprayed but the bug guy was not in office from what they told me.

Property was so nice, it had beach related items to use like small body boards,canopy, cooler, etc and things u didn't have to bring or forgot. There was enough space for everyone, we had 8 ppl) to fit comfortably. The property owners will right above us and they were ready available to get any of our needs and get disturb us the whole weekend me and my family were very happy we didn't have one issue that came up on the trip and they did attend to it but I didnt feel comfortable using that room even though they did attempt to fix it. But I definitely would stay and book with them again, thanks Dwayne and Genevieve. that was only downside of the trip

Cute cottage right on the beach. We stayed on the main level with beautiful porch. Chairs available to use on the beach. 4 bedrm home well appointed.

This is a historic property modernized to please. It was a unique experience to be situated right on the beach. Just go a few steps out the back door and your feet are in the sand. The back porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sun and moon rises over the ocean. Bring your crew and settle in to begin making happy memories.

My husband and I were looking for some quiet time and we found it here. Genevieve and Duane are great hosts. We really enjoyed our time here.

Very spacious and well appointed rental. We appreciated being oceanfront and the beautiful big porch with lots of seating. Although there’s not a good view of the ocean from the porch, there is from the deck that is part of the walkway. Excellent value for the rental price!

The unit was just as advertised such a great price. Genevieve is a great host and we will be booking here again!

My sisters and I had a fabulous time here. We were impressed as soon as we opened the front door. The house was well decorated, and soft music was playing from the tv upon our entry. The location on the beach was perfect, and the view from the back porch rocking chairs was stunning. Everything was clean and comfortable, and every need was provided for - Adirondack chairs to take to the beach, beverage coolers, cornhole in the back yard etc.All communication with the hosts was excellent. I received prompt replies, and they were always very courteous and helpful. We want to always stay at this house, whenever possible, when we return to Carolina Beach.We're already planning our return.

We stayed in this unit for a long weekend at the end of January. This unit has so much charm and detail. We considered it the perfect beach house! We love the older ocean front homes and this one did not disappoint! Plenty of room for our group of 6, wonderful beds and such a clean rental! A big kitchen to cook and eat in if you would like. We spent time on the large ocean front porch and enjoyed the grounds. The owners were very hospitable and accommodating. We will put this on our list to hopefully revisit again! Thank you for such a wonderful rental!

We had a fantastic stay at the Carolina Beach House. It was a great location with plenty of space for everyone. It was very clean and well maintained. The common area outside was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beach. The owners were so friendly and accommodating for our trip. We look forward to future stays.

We only stayed two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. It's a great space for a family to have room to spread out and enjoy a beach vacation. We enjoyed beach walks to the boardwalk to get lunch and sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and a book. It's close to grocery shopping and souvenir shops too. If we ever head back to Carolina beach we will absolutely stay there again.

We were up for a family wedding and we all loved this house. It is well equipped in the kitchen and well equipped with beach items which the kids loved!

The hosts, Genevieve and Dwayne, are helpful and have thought of all the little details that make this location feel like home. Only steps to the beach. Plenty to do or not do in the area. The beach is not overcrowded. Plan on visiting again. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our week at this property. It is well loved, historic, clean, and the property manager was fantastic. We held our daughters wedding down at the nearby public beach, but enjoyed using the property to host her getting ready and take pictures. It was the perfect setting and they turned out breathtaking. I also baked the wedding cakes! So the kitchen was well proportioned for that. The water down at Carolina Beach tastes/smells a little funky. But this is every where, not specifically this house. But if you bring your own water and towels, you won’t have any issues at all, and your stay will likely be perfect!
