Welcome to The Breakers: Out of Office! Settle into our crisp, casual condo just steps from the beach—simply cross the street and you’re on the sand. Kick back on the shady front porch with a cocktail and an ocean breeze, or cool off in the marsh‑side community pool. You’re right at the relaxed north end of the island near Freeman Park. Wander over to Lo Tide Tiki Bar or walk/bike 1.5 miles to the Boardwalk for restaurants, bars, shops, and music. With beach renourishment finishing soon and the Carolina Beach Pier buzzing again, the north end is better than ever for laid‑back days and salty‑air nights.

Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm.

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy, so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.



Guest Access:

Hard key.



House Rules:

No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities.

No smoking.

You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.



Pool Notice:

Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.



Pet Policy:

Dogs Allowed. Owner will allow up to 2 dogs, 75lbs Total Max. The first dog is included in the price of the Rental. Subsequent dogs are subject to an additional payment and restrictions! Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow town guidelines. Please check the town website for beach pet restrictions.



Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Our properties are individually owned, and our guests will have use of the entire property! Please refer to the listing for details.

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

Getting Around:

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

    On our first night, our shower wasn’t working, which made for a rather uncomfortable evening. Maintenance did come the next day when we called back a second time. Other minor issues we found throughout our stay included a dead TV remote and an off-brand coffee maker that won’t produce more than half a cup at a time. We were pretty grossed out by the blankets and rug smells - they desperately need a deep clean or replacement. Location was awesome, views were nice, and we enjoyed our time at the beach, but this rental did not live up to our expectations.

    I loved the location and front porch of this property! You can see 3 different views of the ocean. The property was very clean. The downstairs local neighbors were the best! I had to contact the rental agency (regarding an issue with a previous renter) and they were fantastic to work with. They called within an hour and solved the problem as quickly as possible. The beds were comfortable. It was a blessing to find such a clean property that allowed our rescue pup. I hope to be able to stay again in the future. I would encourage other renters to care for these properties as you would your own. ☺

    Property was clean but could use some maintenance. Main entrance door has definitely seen better days. Is not framed right. Sliding glass door lock broken & cannot lock. Screen door will not stay on track. Floor lanolin coming up in several places. But on the good side—- Excellent location near beach! Beach view is a little distant due to the new condos being built across the street.

    Property was great close to everything walk over road to beach, beautiful sunsets off bedroom balcony, everything we needed for a week at the beach with our pup. Property management was awesome and very responsive would recommend to friends. Neighbor Downstairs helped us move in, he and wife so sweet. Thanks Sam
