The Barracks - Unit 4

I cannot say enough about this property. Any time I called someone answered. The location was absolutely perfect! The park being right there, was a huge bonus. Game room was a pleasant surprise! Laundry right there was amazing!! It’s like you stepped back in time. Beds were so comfortable!! Pool was great! I will 10/10 recommend this place to everyone! Thank you for a perfect week!

This was a lovely place very close to the beach. Would stay again. A few things that wont affect my rating. It would have been helpful in the check in instructions to state the room is in the back of the building. We didnt know the layout, showed up late and it was confusing.

We loved the history and the condition of the building and the proximity to the things we wanted to do. The only problem is there was no lighting in the parking area. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend it.

Overall, we had a great time at this property. The location is fantastic for families of small children. The pool was warm, clean, and convenient. The playground across the street was awesome. However, on our first night, our flight was delayed so we arrived around midnight to the property. The code to enter our unit was not set up properly, so we were locked out of the property. I had to scramble and find a nearby motel so that my daughter and I could sleep for the night. Ultimately, the property management company covered the cost of the night in the motel and the first night at this property. However, I would have much rather been able to settle in immediately. The floor of the unit strangely makes your feet really dirty, and my husband and I's necks are both sore a few days later from the pillows on the bed. Also, the WIFI extender didn't work so the only device we could connect was the TV without interruption. Also, the dishwasher was broken. Overall, it added up to a lot of problems over the course of four nights. For the nightly rate, it seems like these issues should have been avoided. However, this place has a lot of potential! The building itself is gorgeous and incredibly convenient for families.

Great place! Would stay again!

This was one of the best and most relaxing stays we’ve had in Tybee. This place was amazing! The pool was a huge plus. We had a ton of space and got emails to check on us even during our stay. Bed was SO comfortable. We will be back again. This is our place now. The only thing I would change, and it’s very small was the room with bunk beds. It needs 2 twins and a dresser for clothes. Other than that the entire place was behind what we needed.

Place was gorgeous and comfortable for a family of 3. Convenient for the beach and biking around the island. We will come back!

We enjoyed a family vacation at this lovely place. Close to everything. Peaceful and convenient.

Cute apartment in a wonderful location. We loved the park setting, the pool, and the short walk to the beach. The only negatives (not sure I should even call them that) were the amenities: the dishwasher did not work (and we never heard back); there were only 3 spoons (but 20 forks!); the listing said some things like cooking spray, bathmat, trash bags, etc would be there (they were not); things like that. Not sure if cleaning crew did not do their job restocking. Other than that, it truly was a lovely stay.

The property met all of our needs for what we wanted to do; walk to beach, enjoy the park, walk the neighborhoods, and visit Savannah. Very clean and my husband enjoyed the heated pool.

A short walk to North Beach, The Barracks was a perfect location for our Tybee Beach vacation. Nearby restaurants and stores were convenient. A short drive to Savannah to visit the sights in the city.
