New Orleans, Louisiana
Perfect little family get away!!
Welcome to Sunset Point! Our serene and private vacation rental located in Historic Algiers Point. Located on a safe and well-lit street, we are one of the closest vacations rentals to the ferry. Our building contains two guest apartments, an owner's unit and a gift shop. We live on premises and are here 12-24 hours a day, so we are always here to assist.
We are a new construction, finished in April of 2017.
Your space contains 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bathroom with shower/tub combo, lots of bathroom counter space, a full kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, stove & oven, breakfast table, 60" flat screen smart tv, a pull out couch, wifi, and your very own private front porch. This unit is located on the first floor and features central air and heat. We stock the space with linens, dinnerware, cookware, snacks, water, coffee and other munchies. It is decorated with art from Louisiana artists.
Our neighborhood has bars, live music, restaurants, green spaces, a gorgeous paved levee, parks, a blown glass gallery, an interactive art gallery for kids and our beautiful GIFT SHOP, located right next door.
In order to keep our property smelling fresh and clean, this is a NON-SMOKING BUILDING. Smoking is NOT allowed inside or outside the building. This includes the backyard and front porch. A $200 non-refundable cleaning fee will be applied if this rule is broken.

My husband and I stayed here the week before Halloween. The rental is exactly as pictured and so very clean and comfortable! PROS: *Great location! Easily walk to the ferry to go into the city. Beautiful views from atop the levee. Short walk to several eateries on Algiers Point. *Quiet neighborhood. *Clean & comfortable space. Very comfortable bed and pull-out couch. *Plenty of accommodations. Lots of bath linens and kitchen supplies. Extra pillows and blankets. Spacious closet. *Free parking in front of unit. *Easy check-in and check-out. *Very responsive owner! Any time we contacted the owner, she replied almost immediately. CONS: *Not wheelchair accessible. Must be able to go up a few steps to access unit. *Only 1 mode of public transportation after the ferry stops running at night. The public bus (103-O, which stops 1 block from rental) is perfectly fine, but the bus-stop locations in the city late at night after you're done partying on Bourbon Street are in sketchy/potentially unsafe areas. Plan on using Lyft or Uber if you don't drive your own vehicle.
Everything about our stay here was perfect. We were there for the jazz festival and worried about getting back and forth to the fairgrounds. The ferry was convenient, short walk to shuttle, all worked out easily. We only briefly met our host - she was very nice and friendly. With no problems and a busy festival schedule, we never needed to contact her but felt that if we needed anything, it would have been provided. Great stay!
This was our first time visiting New Orleans and I'm so glad we chose to stay at this property. It is on the Mississippi River and has a fantastic view of the city. If you want to go to the city, buy a Jazzy pass, and you can walk right to the ferry, jump on, and have a streetcar take you too explore. Or you can just walk. Bea was a perfect hostess. We had plenty of privacy and she was close by if we needed anything. The condo was so clean and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay!
So glad we chose Bea's rental. The space is open and inviting. The bed was fabulous! We enjoyed staying in this quiet, friendly neighborhood.
Everything was well taken care of and listing was accurate. Neighborhood is perfect and quiet and beautiful place to stay close to New Orleans but out of the hustle and bustle. We loved the ferry.
For us it was the perfect place to stay as we were close enough to the French Quarter but had the peace and privacy in the neighborhood. Had everything we needed to make our home for 5 days.
We have stayed on Algiers Point 4 times and this was the best!!
Place was exactly like the pictures. The location was perfect. Cute cafe about 5 minutes away. Very good experience.
We have done several rentals in NOLA over the years and feel this stay was the best experience yet! It was clean, beautiful, peaceful and a great location if you’re looking for a spot that is removed from the chaos of the French Quarter, but is only a short ferry ride away if you’re feeling the need to go there. Thank You Bea!!! Dave and Anita Walczak
I recommand this place for a stay in New-Orleans : it was clean and well located (near the ferry or bus to cross Mississippi River) and Bea is really nice!
