We talked about coming back in warmer months to float.

Area was good but pics of water view a tad misleading. Condo was cozy and clean. Hot water was an issue and the back patio needs attention..presented very neglected

The sofa bed is 2 in mattress on metal springs! Cockroach in the kitchen! No view of river! Located next to ugly storage area.

The check in process was very smooth and the communication with the host went well. Upon arrival we noticed a strong smell of smoke whether it was cigarettes or something else it was definitely noticeable.I communicated this with the host and just tried to air the condo out best we could. They apologized for the issue and assured us we would not be held responsible. The linens and towels were clean and plenty of extra to use.Everything in the condo worked as it should. The queen bed in the spare room has a dip in the middle causing you to roll towards the middle while trying to sleep making it uncomfortable. The river access isn’t really a convenient place to try and get in the water but can be done, just a misleading in the listing. The pool was clean everyday but due to the heat of Texas it was always hot not really fault of the host. The charcoal grill at the pool was nice and worked well both nights we used it. Location wise you are close to everything you want to visit in new Braunfels. The neighborhood surrounding the condo is a little older than most would be used to but we went for a run and never felt unsafe. Overall beside the initial smoke smell in the condo and the queen bed our overall stay went well and we had no other issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was absolutely perfect! Only thing o wouid recommend is cleaning up down by the river a bit better. The reason we came was to play in the water but it was so overgrown we couldn’t really, we all ended up with poison Ivy and the landscapers steep on the right side. We couldn’t get access to the spiral stair case so over on the other side where we were wouid have been nice to have some kind off steps built and a deck would have made this stay a 10 out of 10! The condo itself was perfect, had everything we could have needed . Very quiet not crowded at all , very close to town but tucked back away in the perfect spot! Will be coming again! Oh and the customer service was easy and good and the contactless check in and out process was smooth and easy to understand!

Extremely uncomfortable queen bed. Sinks way down and you roll to the middle making it hard to get in and out of. Stains in towels and sheets. Baseboards dirty, No washing machine pods as stated. Less than desirable view of river thru thick brush, weeds, and spider webs. Chair in family room is gross, dirty, stained and musty. Back of front door is filthy and in need of a paint job. Iron but no ironing board. Microwave down light for stovetop not working. It was reported and repaired along with extra towels but no hand towels or wash rags. This condo was in a very sketchy and undesirable location with lots of old run down homes, trailers and tents within a block or two in which you have to drive thru to get to condo. Extremely poor water pressure in shower. Had to dance around to get wet and get the soap off. I thought VRBO had to meet higher standards for a listing. There are train tracks within a stones throw of this unit and the train came thru at all hours of the night making it impossible to get sleep. Cobwebs and spider webs all over the entry and back porch. I called about cleaning the cobwebs and they said they don’t do that. Ceiling fans need longer chains for shorter people or separate wall switches for fan and light. Towel bar fell off the wall when removing a towel which was also fixed when I called. Bottom of coffee pot was stained and not cleaned. All in all a big disappointment when considering this was a VRBO listing. Will not recommend or stay here again.
