Stayed May 21, 2025The location is fantastic. Can't beat the ocean views along with access to a pool steps from your unit. Rooms were spacious. We had 3 kids with us ranging from 6 yrs old to 9 months. A couple. Frustrating points to the the trip was the elevator was getting worked on when we arrived so we couldn't use it at the most critical time, unloading luggage. The master baths wasn't usable as the shower door wouldn't slide and ultimately shattered. Peace was very responsive in trying to get it fixed however due to our length of stay, it was t fixed in time so we couldn't use it. Also the fan in the sun room wasnt working

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family of 7 stayed there twice this year, 4/3- 4/7 and 7/20-7/27. When we stayed in April the condo was very dirty. The linens on the bed had brown stains, mold throughout the second floor shower, the loft railing was in desperate need for repair, and the most concerning problem was the cockroaches. After coming home from the April trip, I emailed expressing our disappointment because we have been coming to Debordieu for 40+ years and never have experienced this. I was told that this was very unusual and that proper measures would be taken and it would be better for our trip in July. As soon as we walked into the condo in July we were greeted with cockroaches. Immediately, we are disappointed and uncomfortable. I have a 2 yr old daughter who likes to play on the floor and walks barefoot indoors so there is nothing we can do to properly clean the floors or carpets. The first night we were sitting on the couch fixing to start a family movie, and cockroaches started climbing up the walls. The space in the ceiling beam in the living room seems to be the major source of activity; the cockroaches crawl in and out of there all night long. Imagine paying over seven thousand dollars for a family vacation condo and no one wants to be in there because of the cockroaches. Over the course of the week, I killed over 20 but there were so many more but I had no way to kill them on the ceiling. We called first thing Monday morning and Hannah let us know that someone would be by Tuesday to spray. The gentleman came Tuesday to spray and instructed us to call back if we saw any more cockroaches. Unfortunately, we saw them the next day and it progressively got worse. On Thursday we called the office and left 2 voicemails and no one ever returned our call so we just had to kill them the best we could. Additionally, the loft may also be a source of the cockroaches. The floor is always damp and we had twin girls there who had to deal with the cockroaches every night. I have some concerns about the air conditioning unit as well. The humidity on the thermostat on the first level was always between 72-80% and we suffered because of that. A couple of family members brought books to read and the pages became wet and remained wet all week. My daughter's clothes can't be put in the dryer so I hung them to dry, 5 days past and they were still wet - I just had to take them home wet. I feel like high humidity levels contributed to everything feeling dirty. The couch is in dire need of cleaning; it just feels moist all the time. High humidity levels are known to cause structural damage and mold, I fear that is what is happening in this condo. The upstairs wooden rail, for instance, has moisture damage and the paint is peeling off. The high humidity levels are probably cause for the cockroach infestation considering they love warm, humid spaces. As you can imagine this was the worst vacation. Our families worked hard all year and saved money to make this annual family vacation happen. I just wanted to make someone aware of our stay and the condition of the condo. As I have said, we have been coming here multiple times a year for over 40 years, staying in many of the properties and have never had this experience.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely oceanfront condo that is beautifully decorated. Well stocked kitchen with new appliances. Very clean and easy walk to the beach. Bedrooms are nice with good mattresses. The wooden walkway to the beach needed repair. I called rental company but did not get a follow up call. The walkway was broken when we left.

Stayed Sep 4, 2022The renting process is very easy, this house had everything you needed plus some hotel amenities, like soap, shampoo, conditioner, iron and ironing board. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the decor and being ocean front. Loved it close to lots of things to do. Georgetown, pawleys island, murrells inlet. Easy driving.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Michelle Brad Peace reality Debordieu country club Ronald Boyd's iPad I am reaching out to you after a very traumatic flood incident yesterday August 15, 2021 at 1109 Debordieu Boulevard unit 15 Powell property. 4:30 our entire family which includes myself, 63 knee and hip replacement, my husband, also 63 Ronald with a heart condition, our son 34-year-old and his wife also 34 and their five-year-old son for a family walk on the beach. We returned to the Villa 5ish to have sirens from the smoke detector blaring, water streaming from the ceiling, water streaming from the lights, water dripping down the walls and floor saturated with standing in water on the first floor. My five-year-old grandson was terrified from the shrieking smoke detectors. We were terrified not knowing what was going on. Our clothes, our food, our valuables all saturated with water coming from everywhere. My husband made his way up three flights of stairs to the very third floor bathroom to find that a hose had burst to the toilet viciously spilling water everywhere. He tried to turn the valve off. He could not , he took the hose crimped it, holding until help arrived. I was instructed to take the five year old grandson because I am not Mobile and get out at the villa, my son and daughter-in-law gathered as much of our personal property as they could to protect from any more water damage as my husband continued to hold the hose. I called Michelle who is our representing agent only to get a message which I left and requested for her to call 911 find somewhere for us to stay that night and send help. Her response was she would send maintenance. At that point I told her this was beyond what maintenance could do, that this was an emergency situation and to please send help. After waiting 20 minutes, no one had arrived. at this point I called 911. 911 informed me no one had made the call. I requested them to come as soon as possible after 25-30 minutes and I do have phone logs and videos of the flood to confirm. Security came and the fire department within minutes of each other. My husband instructed them to where the leak was. Security disabled the watermain outside. The fire department disabled the blaring smoke detectors. At this point a property manager had been summonsed, Brad. Brad informed us we could move to another home. We were unsure what to do in light of the devastating situation. It was very evident there was no remaining in the villa. A move would have to be made. Brad agreed he could find someone to help us collect and move to the new location. Brad remained on his phone in obvious concern for protecting the Villa, his interest in us as a family as humans as customers was non-existent. Not a single I'm sorry, not a are you okay, not a what can I do to help nothing the same from Michelle. After phone calls again to request help in transporting from the Villa to the new location it was clear no one would help and no one cared. Upon arrival at the new home the maids were still cleaning we were hot we were soaking wet we were carrying wet clothes wet towels as much as we could handle. We were able to unload at 8:45. The maids were gracious. I gave them a tip. After 9:30 we were finally able to shower and find dry clothes. No one had eaten we had to drive to Georgetown for takeout completely exhausted and very just disheartened. This morning we all woke exhausted and in disbelief of what we had just been through. We are now in another very old home, charming as it may be, we do not need six bedrooms. We no longer have access to a swimming pool out the back door as we had selected at the villa, we no longer have beach friendly area. Because of the seawall and the vicious waves this is not a safe area for grandchildren. I am highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism ,empathy, humanity and kindness that we experience yesterday it is beyond my belief that there could be no appropriations made for such conduct, or lack of conduct. I cannot in good faith recommend a return trip for myself or anyone else. It was clear that during this crisis no one wanted to help and no one really cared shame on you All. Shame on you all.
