Shared Pool & Outdoor Kitchen: Flamingo Beach Gem

We had the best time in Playa Flamingo staying at the wonderful Casa Mimosa! Having your own private pool is a MUST! We spent many days at the beach and back at the pool in the afternoon to cool off! We rented a golf cart in town and our kids loved it! Maritza was the property care taker and was wonderful, we can’t wait to return to this slice of heaven!

The unit was as described, but Maritza was the gem of this place. She can arrange transportation locally and also massages, plus does some cooking. We had a great stay.

We've just left Casa Mimosa and are already planning a return. I cannot say enough good things about our stay but I have to start with Maritza who took care of us from start to finish with a level of attention that would have impressed me at a five star hotel! Not only did she keep the entire place immaculately clean but she also did our laundry and cooked several meals for us, including a birthday party for my daughter with cake and decorations! I also messaged a lot with the owner who had amazing recommendations and suggestions for what to do in Playa Flamingo. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, air conditioned, and well supplied, including beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs. The kitchen is great, there's a huge outdoor grill area, and of course there's the fabulous pool which was also kept perfectly clean and warm. In terms of location, we couldn't have been happier. It was a five minute walk to Playa Flamingo, an 8 minute drive to the supermarket, and about the same to other great areas like Playa Conchal and the Marina. We can't wait to return!

This property is top notch. Gorgeous grounds, very private and safe, view, minutes walk from a Great beach and restaurant (Coco Loco). The caregivers live on the property and maintain the grounds and offer helpful tips. There were monkeys in the trees one day. The kitchen was well stocked. Outside grill area and pool fantastic. We didn’t realize the upstairs and downstairs were separate units available for rent as well, but we had the place to ourselves. I hope we can return someday!

Casa Mimosa was the perfect house for our family friend vacation. We really appreciated having the caretakers next door and the daily cleaning (so nice!). The pool was great and the shortcut down the beach was perfect for our little ones. The ACs in each room kept us cool. The kitchen was very well stocked and the outdoor grill was great too.

This property exceeded expectation! Highly recommend. Communication, check-in/out, and in-stay support was fantastic.

Very nice well maintained property. However, our stay wouldn’t have been the same if Maritza the housekeeper wasn’t there. She cooked us breakfast and a nice meal with local fish and shrimp. This property isless than 2 minute walk to the beautiful Flamingo Beach. Pool in property is nice, felt private, clean, you can hear the howler monkeys from the pool and see a variety of colorful birds. Thank you Maritza for making our stay so pleasant.

Great location with view of hills and beach out the bedroom windows. Pool is fantastic with outdoor grilling area. Got massages poolside by hosts family. The hosts are very accommodating and nice. Easy walk down the hill to the beach and restaurants.

The unit we had (Buena Vista) was the 2nd floor of a three story home and was immaculate. The beach was a 5 minute walk from the house and it was very centrally located to many other beaches. The view from the wrap around large balcony was incredible and faced several mountains in the distance and the beach on one side. The pool area was amazing and there was a large grill area with seating for a very large family. If you were considering a family reunion, renting both the first and 2nd floor would give you 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, etc and would be a great place. The property had a locked gate which was nice and it was a very peaceful environment surrounded by nature. The caretakers were always willing to help and had a small unit on-sight which was very nice. The owners have thought of most every convenience you could need from beach chairs, to hoses to wash off the sand when you get back, fully equipped unit (dishes, soap, pans, etc), beach towels, beach bags, a cooler, etc. You can tell they really care about their property because everything looks amazing. I would recommend having a small suv or van etc because the roads around Costa Rica and entering the property can be a little bumpy. Having said that, many are driving cars no problem. We found a gentleman named Alvaro with Your Best Beach Concierge +506 8735-0360. He helped us with Beach setups, transport, and tours. Everyone he coordinated was on time and provided great service. If you want to splurge one night for dinner, Sentido Norte was amazing and you should reserve around sunset. We are already making plans to visit again in the summer (Dec-Apr) which is when the beaches are best due to it being the dry season.
