Refined Coastal Escape a Block from West Beach!

Wonderful!!

A lovely and excellently-maintained apartment in Santa Barbara's charming West Beach neighborhood, close to the beach (one block) and convenient (five blocks) to the neighborhood grocery and wine stores.I've been coming to Santa Barbara regularly for the past 14 years, but I now schedule my trips around the availability of this particluar unit. This was my second visit, already, and I'm eager to book a return visit.

Comfortable, well stocked, very clean cottage in great location. Pros:-very clean -well stocked kitchen, linens, blankets, beach towels, bikes- great shower- comfortable living room- great location , 2 blocks from beach, quiet downtown adjacent - nice patio area-convenient laundry includedCons: - beds are very soft ( this is personal preference issue thought) -garage will only fit a mini car, but on the street parking is easy to find if you pay attention to signs - trundle bed really only fits a short adult or 2 smaller children -just person

My wife and I stayed at a quaint, nostalgic beach house in Santa Barbara that felt like a classic, private seaside retreat. Even though it was quite old, it had a modern, homey feel and was conveniently close to the beach and boardwalk. Overall, it was just a great and peaceful experience.

We had a nice stay (3 of us). It was perfect in that my daughter had her own space with a daybed. The area is amazing and close to everything but on a nice quiet street. Perfect amount of space for us.

The Captain's Cottage was absolutely wonderful! It was the perfect location and such a beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed property. We could not have loved our stay more!

We loved the property and the location was great. Communication from before arrival, until departure was seamless and adequate. We will definitely return and recommend VRSB!

Captain’s Cottage was perfect! Really well located-one block from the beach and two blocks from State Street. It was as cute as it looks in the photos. Great little backyard. Nice, big bathroom. Extremely helpful and communicative property . We loved our stay!

I really don't want to write a review so that I can have Captain's Cottage whenever I want it. We came to visit family and Capain's Cottage was perfect for us. Every time I thought it would be nice if they had this or that I found it. Well stocked and great location. Will be back! Joyce

The cottage was perfect! Clean, comfortable and a perfect location. Everything was within walking distance. I highly recommend the cottage and can’t wait to return. We liked it so much we booked an extra night there at the end of our trip!

Ideal location, close to all the action and very comfortable!

Spacious, clean, well-located. The rental and concierge staff are particularly pleasant and accommodating. The garage is ridiculously small.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location!

We absolutely LOVED our 1 week stay here. The location was perfect wit the beach, restaurants and shops easily walkable. The neighbors were just lovely... the man next-door brought us a bouquet of roses that he grows and the woman and her pup in the main house were sweet. The bathroom was spacious and bright. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed.The beds were all comfortable. The living room was great for us all to curl up and watch movies at night. With family in the area we will definitely be staying here every time we come to Santa Barbara!

Enjoyed our stay at Captains Cottage. Super cute. Awesome location. Great hot shower w good water pressure! Bikes were a nice … touch we rode thru town and up State St. Perfect size for me and my 2 kids. Hope to stay again.
