Location:
Whether visiting in winter or summer, this gives you great access to slopes and trails, lifts, restaurants, shops, even groceries! Not only does The Lodge at Steamboat have a very good location, but this condo has one of the best locations within the development. If you're skiing home for the day, or just taking a break, you can ski right past the Gondola and back to Apres Ski Way. When you come to a stop, you'll be less than 100 yards from your door! The ski school, ticket office, and Gondola are only about 300 yards from your door! You'll be staying in the heart of the mountain village, with shops, restaurants, bars, trails & paths all around, right out your door. Summer guests will enjoy the direct access to various trails. The Mountain Sneak trail is literally right below your balcony. It connects to the Burgess Creek and Mount Werner trails. These are all paved paths which are ideal for strolling, jogging, or biking. You can follow them to connect to the Yampa River Core trail for access to the Yampa River and downtown Steamboat. So whether you want a ski trail, hiking or biking trail, or paved paths, just walk outside! They're all steps from your door. For those who like a challenge, here's a summer secret - If you hike or bike up the numerous trails to the top of the Gondola, the ride down is free. Skip the cost of the ride and enjoy a bite to eat or beverage with an incredible view before you ride down.
The Property:
This condo has been nicely renovated and furnished. It has an open concept layout that combines the kitchen, dining, and living room into one big, comfortable, and inviting space. The kitchen has beautiful new cabinets, granite counters, and tile back splash. It also has a large island with bar seating for 4. There is plenty of counter space and a pantry for storage. The dining area has an upgraded dining set for 6. In the living room, there is a large sleeper sofa, a big comfy armchair with ottoman, and 2 rocking, swiveling armchairs. Comfy seating for 6 is not common in most 2-Bedroom condos! The living room features an HDTV, exposed beams with tongue and groove ceilings, and a warm gas fireplace that fires up with the flip of a switch. This is a great space to come home to after a day of adventure. Off the living room is a covered deck, with seating for 4. This is a great place for morning coffee, ski and snowboard storage, or in summer, lunch and dinner.
The bedroom situation is ideal for many different types of groups. Bedroom 1 has a King bed and direct access to the covered deck. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed and a 2 Twin bunk bed. That makes this condo ideal for 2 couples, 4 to 5 singles, or a couple with 3 kids. The living room does have a sleeper sofa for larger groups, or for those groups who want to spread out. Both bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms and both bathrooms have been renovated with new cabinets, counters, faucets and fixtures. The King master bathroom has an extra large vanity and upgraded shower tile as well. Out the windows you'll have pleasant views of mature evergreen and aspen trees as well as various mountain village area buildings and developments.
Access:
This condo is on floor 2 out of 3. There are no elevators. A few stairs down from the parking lot and then a flight up to the condo are required to enter and access the condo. Once you've inside, everything is on one level. The parking is free, with covered and uncovered parking lots which are reserved for Lodge owners and guests only. Spaces are not assigned and generally there is ample parking. You'll be issued parking permits upon arrival because this property is close to the Gondola, others will wish they could park here! Please note that trailers are not allowed, typically. If you will have a trailer, please contact us before booking, to confirm if it might be possible to park it onsite. If not, we can provide you with information and options for parking the trailer offsite.

This place had many issues. There were too many things to mention but some of the highlights were broken toilet seat in master; the floors were filthy; washer didn't work; dishwasher doesn't fit and when you open the door and pull out lower rack, the whole dish washer tips forward and when full, the lower rack flies forward and nails you in the shins; hot tubs hours are posted as closing at 10p yet every night they were locked up at 8p. Place needs alot of love...won't stay again and don't recommend!
This was perfect for our family, with plenty of sleeping arrangement options.
We had an absolute blast in Steamboat Springs, and this condo was just perfect for the six of us. It was really nice and just a wonderful set-up. Everything was clean and orderly. Check-in and Check-out was super easy. Would return in a heartbeat.
Very enjoyable
The communication and effort from the manager was terrible. I booked last minute due to a significant change in plans. I explained that i wouldnt be there until 10 pm. They said it wouldnt be a problem and happily took my payment. When my family and i arrived at 9;30 pm after travelling all day there was nobody there to check us in and the office was closed. We called the after hours and got told we didnt have a reservation and that they couldnt help us. We then called the phone number supplied with the rental and got people all over the country. We were told to go to the unit and it had a keypad, it did not. We played this game until 11:30 pm before we gave u[p and started looking for a hotel. Still havent gotten my money back for the night we didnt even stay.

The Lodge location was fantastic - a short walk to the Steamboat Gondola. Loved 2nd floor end unit with Washer/Dryer. Decor is dated and furniture is massive and overwhelming in this smaller 2BR condo. Blankets/comforters could use a thorough cleaning. Heater unit in master bath is NOISY!!! Heater in master bedroom doesn’t work, so be prepared to be cold, live with the noisy bathroom heater all night, or heat the entire unit to keep master BR warm. Ski locker is conveniently located, but beware if temp warms up, as you’ll be standing in a pool of water as you stow or retrieve your gear, or if freezing, watch your balance as it’ll be a sheet of ice. Amenities were fine and included everything one would expect. Knives were so so - bring your own if you like to cook. Slow cooker works, but has been host to many burned dishes - practically impossible to clean 100%. Humidifier wasn’t functional during our stay. (3/10-3/18/2022)
Upon arrival at the property, we noticed a ‘Beeping’ sound that would beep every 3-4 seconds 3x and then would repeat. It wasn’t loud, but noticeable for sure. We also noticed that there was a fire detector hanging by its wires in the entry way as you walked, in but the beeping was not coming from there. Still though, why is it just dangling… Long story short, fireplace was source of beeping, handyman dispatched, didn’t arrive until 7pm, result no fireplace during our stay ☹. Additionally, we could not get the heating boards throughout the property to function properly. It seems the only time we were able to get any heat in the Master Bedroom was during the daytime. Even with the temp control in the Master turned to full, they would not function until the daytime hours. Similar issues with the heating in the main living space. A functioning fireplace would have been nice at this point… Lastly the refrigerator door is opening the wrong way making it a chore to put anything in/out of the fridge. If you’ve been to the property, you know exactly what I’m talking about. To keep this short, you can tell this is a rental property and it does its job fantastically. But the property needs more attention. Would we stay again, at ‘The Lodge’ property location yes. But we would be looking for other units at the location first due to what I just described but would not be disappointed if result was the same property again.

Easy checking and information was plentiful. Pictures made this condo look better than it actually was. Furniture is very tired, dated and worn. It did have lots of room and a great location close to ski area.
