Plantation Hale Pool and Tropical Garden View - 1 bdm, Area AC

The overall property grounds were lovely and well kept. The pool area was clean and enjoyable to relax by. It was nice to have Coconut Market place so close by with all the dining and shopping options. 2x's a week there was a farmers market in the parking lot at Coconuts which was really nice to have. The beach was across the field so that was a short walk also. Plantation Hale is very central to the Island so driving to the north or the south was about the same distance which was nice. We stayed in Plantation Hale C16. I have to say for as old as the unit was, I was happy to see the place was really clean. The Unit is in bad need of some serious updating though. furniture is old, dated and even chipped in places. The curtains on 3 of the windows were not even hemmed, just cut with a scissors and not even straight. the picture hanging in the bathroom still had the cardboard corner protective pieces on it. Why they didn't remove that is very weird to me. The stove needs new 'pans' under the burners, they were super stained with burned on food and bent. The pressed wood on the bottom of the bathroom door on both sides was peeling and curling up. Door should be replaced. The knives need to be replaced, dull as a hoe...we actually bought a knife sharpener just so we could actually use the knives. The blade to the bread knife came flying off when I was cutting bread.... kind of dangerous. All in all - this unit is OLD, needs updating badly

I liked that the unit was clean and had plenty of towels and necessities for our stay. I wish the clothes washer and dryer was in the unit. I couldn't do my laundry because of our schedule we couldn't make the time the laundry room on the property was open. I felt the unit was too high of a price for what it was and will not be staying there again.

Nice comfortable property. Easy to find. Every thing we wanted and needed for a week on Kauai. Kitchen had good selection of dishes, pots and pans, a few spices, water and ice, some plastic ware for picnics and leftovers. I was able to cook but no measuring spoons or cups! Condo had plenty of extra bedding, beach chairs and cushions; fun selection on TV. We would definitely stay here again.

The property has recycling rules, however there aren't recycling bins in the unit have been provided. They have a kitchen but there is no toaster or kettle, a coffee maker is not working properly, coockware are very old. Other than that its a good location, walkable distance to grocery stores and a nice market.

Apartment was a little shabby, and tbh a little dirty in a couple spots. It wasn't a huge problem. Very nice to have a kitchen so that we can cook food if we don't want to go out.

Property was within easy access to north and south shore of Kauai. Shopping was a easy walk from our unit. The unit itself was fine with all items for preparing meals. The negative was the very small a/c unit crammed into a corner of the living room (assumed we had central a/c). the unit did not cool any area of the living room (cool air went about two feet and stopped). This along with the hot humid weather last week was not what we expected. The unit was also very close to route 56 and the road noise was very loud-all day and night. Overall we stayed away from the unit as long as possible-no cool unit, road noise.

Property was great. Perfect location. Wish it would of had a sofabed instead blow-up mattress

The nicest one we’ve been in 4 years for vrbo. Everything is modern and brand new. The knives are henckles brands lol I’m not expecting that. They have everything you need from laundry soap to fabric softener is provided. Plenty towels and everything you need they have it. Place is quiet, clean, and easy parking. Easy check in and Candance always answers all my questions even before my check in. We enjoy and had a great vacation. Thank you!

Such a beautiful condo, very well kept. It's ideal if you want to stay basically in the middle of everywhere close to airport, walmart, hiking spots, waterfalls. Plus it's right next to an ABC store, JOJO'S shaved ice, etc.

Amazing spot. You can walk to everything you need..Coconut Village, Coffee, Restaurants, Beach Lava Lava club. Airport is only 10 min away. The hot tub and pool are fantastic. The market (ABC) is steps away and has everything you need. Although hit up Walmart on your way up, way cheaper. Place is awesome, has everything you need for the beach including chairs and a big cooler. Will absolutly stay again!

This was one of the best VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in. The location was perfect. We walked to dinner at the Coconut Marketplace or just down the road every night. Safeway Grocery Store (and other shopping) was less than a mile away. The beach was a short walk from the unit (less than 1/4 mile). We saw 3 monk seals on the beach in the 5 nights we were there! Amazing! We ate lunch/snacks out on the balcony several times. It was so peaceful and overlooked the pool and hot tub. The unit was spotless and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the beach chairs and beach towels. The location was also great for local hikes, Waimea Canyon (maybe 60-90 minutes) and Na Pali Coast (maybe 30-45 minutes). Waimea Canyon Trail was our favorite! The Na Pali Coast trail to the waterfall was amazing but so challenging (with 4 big river crossings). And it was so nice to have easy parking after Oahu. We’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The unit was very comfortable. It had all the amenities that you would need to have a nice stay. Host was very responsive. The only drawback was the proximity to the highway and noise during the day from construction that was going on to replace the plumbing.

We used to live here on Kauai and came back because we miss the island and our friends. Plantation Hale is very cute and quiet units. It is the best location for any adventure, beach, restaurant or shopping you want. The beach along with a shopping mall is a short walk away.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time!! And very close to things to do!!

This was such a pleasant place to stay! Good location and very comfortable! We highly recommend it!!

We found this condo to be very conveniently located. Easy to walk over to the Coconut Market for small items. Also enjoyed an evening show at the market. We loved walking the beach path in the evening.
